I mean, he created a website that I've enjoyed a lot for over 17 years now, but as a person, they was something kinda...I dunno. Strange about him. A lot of it centred about his paranoia / obsession with privacy. - Banned anyone from the boards almost instantly if they called his house - Didn't seem to disclose that many details about himself - Seemed caged in general about his life - Pretty much only ever spoke directly to the world on one occasion (that I know of), during that radio show - Seemed to hate running the site, even though he chose to do it - Sold the site for (relative) peanuts, like he thought that people were "closing in on him", or something - Pretty much disappeared from public life after selling the site, as if people give a shit about who he was, or what he did Why was he so secretive? It's like he had a persecution complex, or paranoid delusions about how interested people were in him. What do you think of all this? How do you interpret what we know about him?

His privacy skills are basically unparalleled. Literally decades later we still know almost nothing about him. One of the biggest game sites on the Internet, full of trolls and revengebeards who have been burned numerous times by site staff, but still nothing.
