While every fanboy is sorry Carrie died so soon, after working in the business, I'm surprised the bitch lasted this long. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, the only reason why she was not replaced from the first Star Wars shoot was it was a very tight schedule. Carrie was very difficult to work with, treated crew like shit and screamed at the director and fellow cast. Many regret making her a star so young and so soon. Most of us saw the train-wreck that was her life from the release party of the first Star Wars movie.
She took after her domineering mother Debbie. Hollywood was moving into an era of down-to-earth stars in the 80s and Carrie was working her mother's obsolete mold. If it wasn't for Star Wars being such a big fucking hit, this girl would be just another Hollywood brat abusing her pedigree.
She did many drugs on Sunset in the 70's and 80's. For her to die from heart failure (classic sign of a long term cocaine user) flying back to LA and dying in the same ER that many other druggie celebs died in is poetic justice.
Wherever she is now, rehab is much needed. While it is not good riddance, she never learned the lessons given for her to learn in this life she had. Perhaps the next one will fix that.

Expelled For Asking Girl Out (College)
I got expelled from my college for asking a girl out. I haven't checked my email in like a month. I went to go look at my records and check on my FAFSA status, and I couldn't access the page. I went to look at CANVAS to read something from the classes I took. Couldn't get on CANVAS. Then I check my email. I got an email saying that my tuition was terminated and I am kicked out of school for harassing somebody and it says that she went to the dean and complained or something. I know who it was, because I don't really talk to any girls, unless I am studying with them or something.
Well this girl was super friendly to me all semester, she always talked to me for like 45 minutes before class, because we were always early and she acted super friendly with me and we even went to Panera. I had a crush on her all semester and then I finally asked her out on the last day of class and I started panicking and I fucked myself by saying "sorry for being creepy" when she told me "no." and she told me that I am way too old for her, I'm 8 years older than her, I'm 27 and she's 19. She told me it was "uncalled for" for me to even think about pursuing her about anything unrelated to academia. And I said "i'm sorry i'm really sorry. I just love your personality and your smile, you're so cute. " and she said "stop, stop, please just stop." then she ran away and when I was walking down the stairs she was with her 35 year old lady friend and some other girls and they all just stared at me until i walked out of the building with very ugly looks on their face.

My suggestion for if you plan on being open yearly: sell other stuff, anywhere from cookies to t-shirts to donuts. That'll help keep people drawn. Also, if you plan on hiring employees they'll appreciate the consistency of hours, too.

This is the one thing that I personally like about my job. At the strip mall I get to talk to customers to the point of us practically being friends, and they love that. Having a personable attitude when dealing with people goes a long way, trust me. Another thing is run a social media account or two (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, anything) and don't make all of your posts business related. People love Denny's and Sonic the Hedgehog's Twitter accounts because they're entertainment + the regular advertising they're originally intended for. It's a kind of modern marketing.
That's the basic stuff. Running a snow cone joint isn't that hard once you know what you're doing and can be a lot of fun, but just be sure to know what all you'll need.

This accomplishes 3 things:
1. It demonstrates you're not an idiot, which is important in business.
2. it teaches you how to run a business.
3. it shows you how little you'll actually make owning a restaurant.
Once you've accomplished this task, give up on owning a restaurant and try to think of something that will actually make REAL money.

I tend to find that people who are Chief Execs are highly informed and experienced, can immediately recall detailed and relevant information instantly and are experts at negotiating with people in a way that makes them seem unflappable.
A lot of people think that CEOs talk a load of vacuous nonsense, but actually it's an art that a lot of people aren't good at especially when put under pressure. Tony Blair was a highly skilled politician because when people asked him underhanded questions that were intended to expose a lack of composure or knowledge of his party he could immediately detect the intention of the question and steer the whole conversation around.
It's the difference between being George Bush and Jeb Bush.
And you might wonder why I'm referencing politicians instead of well known CEOs but that's because their decisions and characters are much more public and therefore much more easy to analyse.

What "Clock Boy" Ahmed Mohamed is doing today?
On September 14, 2015, Ahmed Mohamed brought a digital clock he had made to his Irving, Texas, high school. His teachers thought it was a bomb — or at least a bomb threat. Since then, he’s become famous (or infamous, depending on who’s talking), moved to a new continent, and no longer feels safe in his home country.
The 14-year-old was suspended, handcuffed, and arrested, sparking a debate about the role Islamophobia played in the whole incident and drawing responses from Mark Zuckerberg, Google, the United Nations, and President Barack Obama. Mohamed’s family unsuccessfully sued the school district for $15 million before moving to Qatar.
That was a year ago, and as documented in a fairly devastating profile by Jessica Contrera in The Washington Post, things have changed for Mohamed. His family returned to Irving this summer to sue the city again.
Living in Qatar — which offered him and his siblings a full ride to the Qatar Foundation — isn’t perfect. Sure, he’s away from the controversy and getting a good education, but Mohamed says the Middle Eastern country lacks opportunities to build things the way he used to be able to in America. Mohamed misses his friends and was bored of desert’s monotonous landscape. He explained to the Post how, in Qatar, “not many kids play outside.”
“I never really do anything,” he added. I just watch stuff online, and I get bored. Sometimes I just go outside and stare at the sun and then go back inside.”
Being back in the U.S. has its downsides, too. Mohamed has been hounded by the press. His father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, seems like he’s always pushing for more publicity to raise awareness of his son’s plight — and his plans to run for President of Sudan for a third time in 2020.

Regarding P2E: Take a look in the mirror at the kind of person you are.
Think about the things you see posted here every day. The trolling, the flaming, the anger, the hate. However much of it is earnest zeal, and however much of it is smug satisfaction gleaned from taunting and putting down others, please, never forget there are real people at the receiving end of every word you post.
People who are flawed and imperfect.
People with demons that haunt them.
People with emotional limits they can’t — or won’t — be driven past.
Take a look at the things you post here, and then, take a look at yourself. Your real self: not your username, not the fake persona you put on when you go online, but you. Think about your mom and your dad, or anyone else you knew growing up who loved you. Think about when you were a kid, and all the teachers you had who tried to show what it meant to be good and kind. Think about everyone who ever loved you and cared for you and went out of their way to help you, even when it was hard for them. And then, think about the things you post on here, and ask yourself whether it would make them proud. Would they be happy at the kind of person you’ve chosen to be?
I don’t know if P2E took his own life, and if he did, I don't know if the harassment contributed to his unsound state of mind. But I’m saddened it was ever posted at all. I’m saddened it was even *allowed* to be posted, *allowed* to stay up. The fact that a week later a moderator had to declare there’s “a time and a place” for that kind of thing — as if there were *ever* a just time for people to troll and harass each other the way they have in the aftermath of this person's death, or that this website should *ever* be a place for it — goes to the heart of why I think this is a pretty unappealing place anymore.

I got it when I was young,
PCs are more expensive, require some skills, have long install times and poor local multiplayer. Requiring a focus on online lay
Little Timmy and Tiny Susie can just slap in Golden Axe and be killing the hordes of the underdark inside 30 seconds.
Meanwhile the Commadore 64 took several minutes just to load.
But now it makes no sense
PCs that can play new releases are pretty much the same price as the current consoles (as well as all the cool stuff you own a PC for), requires abolutely no skills at all, and every is complete literate.
Meanwhile the current consoles have HUGE installation times, and even when installs have long boring loading screens/times and there is no focus on local multiplayer beyond crappy party games.

A German court has ruled that seven Islamists who formed a vigilante patrol to enforce Sharia law on the streets of Wuppertal did not break German law and were simply exercising their right to free speech.
