Don't get your hopes up. If they're still not committing to content, level of quality and accessories within 16 months of release, they're unlikely to produce anything impressive. It's just going to be the 2018 version of the 3DS Pokemon in HD.

I am looking forward to see what they can do with Pokemon here. This is probably the game that will get me to go and buy a Switch, this and Metroid.

It's Nintendo fans man. They often have their heads so far up their own asses they often completely ignore what's being said. Judging by what is being said they seem to be leaning towards taking the game home and playing it with friends and family. Which is really interesting because currently in order to do that you need multiple Pokemon cartridges and multiple systems but could Pokemon Switch possibly be multiplayer? Or could we be looking at the first Pokemon game capable of having multiple save files that can maybe battle each other on multiplayer? Part of me is curious but part of me is cautious because there is feint whiff of being an entry for casuals as well.

If the first place I go in Pokemon on Switch is Kanto, I'm going to very begrudgingly purchase that game day one. We get it. It's where it all started. It's where most older players feel at home. I've been playing since the day Pokemon was released in the US in 1998. I'm done with Kanto.
Take me somewhere new when Pokemon comes to Switch. I've been playing and loving the same mechanics for 20 years. Don't bore me by bringing me back there again.

You naive suckersBorn too late to explore Earth, born too early to explore space. Born just in time to explore the wondrous and terrifying depths of the internet.The thing that i have always wanted in a Pokemon game was something like animal crossing where you can enter another friends world and play together there. Any trainer battle would become double battles and you could finish the main story and end game with others. Its always been a distant hope of mine but with the switch i kinda have my hopes up again.
Also with the increase in power of the switch im excited to see how the move animations will change and how the background during battles will change, will it be more dynamic (ie: you can see people walking, pokemon flying and other small details) or will it remain as the backgrounds of SM but in HD.
