I'm what you would call a toxic player. I s*** talk people, I blame people, I tell people they should never play a game again or if they do buy the BradyGames guide first, I'm an all around UNPLEASANT man to be around when it comes to the spirit of competition. But guess what? THICK SKIN, BOYZ. This is GAMER CULTURE. Lockerroom talk. This is what we are and will always be.
It's like in ye olde Starcraft dayz. I'd toy around with people, I'd say "alli @ end" and make them think I'm going to do that when I obliterate them. I don't. I leave them with a burning supply depot and make them sing the Russian national anthem in chat or do some other f***ed up s*** before letting it burn down and winning. So imagine my reaction when I see this Jeff Kaplan video on Overwatch and its awful fanbase being jerks and how, "if ur toxic then we dont want u in overwatch cuz its all inclusive!" LOL What a joke. All inclusive but doesn't want the villains, the personalities, the real OGs of the online gaming scene like me. Policing your games and trying to flex moral muscles is lame s*** that won't last. Overwatch itself is already on that line between game and a baby cradle, those systems don't work and won't create the utopia people want. People act nice and good because it's a choice. When you force people to be nice and play kindly then you made a phony f***in' community and really at that point just make a single player game with AI bots that are ready to massage your shoulders and link you inspirational book quotes, black text on white paper, when you're feeling down. Accept the fact that multiplayer gaming has real f***ing jerks in it, embrace it, and let it be. No time for crying.

There's a pretty wide gulf between being 'nice' and simply not acting like human garbage when you're interacting with other people.

Don't play Overwatch, it's an awful game made for quitters and this is not only reflected in the publicity guy's attitude but in the game
It's a contest of pressing the special move buttons at the right time with little room between the skill floor and skill ceiling, just vote with your presence and play games which are at least decent.
I don't just sell stuff, I am actually involved in these.

While I won't entertain TC's raving lunacy, he does have a point about trash talking. Trash talking in games is part of what makes multiplayer, both online and local, f***ing great. Like if it ever gets to the point where you can get banned from games for teabagging someone or calling them p**** or whatever, then I'm not even attempting to play that game out of both spite and fear...
Now that said, if you're running around shouting racial slurs, physically threatening people, and just overall being somebody nobody else likes, then yeah I could see a banhammer coming down on that. It's hard where to draw the line tho...
