Woman arrested for holding children captive for 7 years
Spanish police said Saturday they had detained a Swiss woman who allegedly kept her children captive for seven years, threatening to kill them if they ever tried to get help.
The children, now 17 and 15, had never gone to school during their time in the southeastern province of Alicante and had hardly been allowed assistance when ill, the Guardia Civil police force said.
"The minor's signatures during police proceedings were exactly the same as those on their Swiss ID cards from seven years ago, the writing looks like that of a small child who has not developed his writing," a spokesman for the Guardia Civil in Alicante told AFP.
According to police, the 17-year-old daughter managed to evade her mother's surveillance in August and send an email to the ANAR Foundation, which helps children in trouble and sounded the alarm.
She had allegedly been the victim of violence from her mother, who prohibited either of her kids to have any contact with the outside world.
She said they were only allowed out on the streets for a short while everyday for quick shopping errands or walks, but under strict surveillance.
Their 49-year-old mother, who is of Spanish origin, was allegedly particularly brutal towards her daughter, "hitting her, pushing her against walls or furniture and throwing cutlery or any other object she had in her hands," police said.
The daughter had not dared ask for help until then, as she "had been under constant threat of death from when she was little."
Her mother "said on various occasions that she would kill them if they spoke to police and that police would rape and kill them anyway -- an idea with which they grew up," the Guardia Civil said.
In her ANAR email, the daughter said this situation had started back in Switzerland when she was only three or four, and had continued when her mother moved to Spain in 2009.
The mother's Swiss partner, 30, was also detained for covering up the situation.
After a foundation tip off, police tracked down the house where the siblings were living in the town of Catral. "Agents went there immediately and the mother denied anyone was being held there, and also denied that any minor was living there," the Guardia Civil said.
"The girl, who heard the agents speaking to her mother, started gesticulating in the corridor to attract their attention, and the two children were rescued," it added.
The daughter has since returned to Switzerland to her biological father.
A judge decided to let the brother -- whom police said was not the victim of violence like his sister -- return to his home in Catral, where his mother and her partner have been released pending trial.

Nintendo Switch-aro; it's already failing!
Meanwhile 3DS isn't doing as well as the DS because the 3D gimmick sucks, although it is experiencing success because of 3rd parties, rehashes, and somehow Animal Crossing which is the most biggest piece of shit casual game I've ever played (on GC) sold millions to girls.
Mass appeal doesn't have anything to do with quality, CoD is the perfect example to counter this argument. This is because CoD is the worst game in existence and it's also the game that every casual gamer hop on to "get into" gaming nowadays. The reason why CoD sells is because of marketing appeal which was generated by hype, not quality. The market isn't as smart as you make them out to be, all that they want is what's popular and voids what isn't. If a piece of shit is popular, then they will buy it or are you going to add that a piece of shit is a solid high quality product too?
I don't agree with the anon that's posting about sales=quality, but you have to understand that a very large portion of people who buy games don't give a rat's ass about how good they are. Work at a Gamestop, and you'll see. Half of the people who come in are parents looking to buy something to babysit their kid, and literally just want the most popular thing. Sometimes I lie to them and give them something good instead of CoD, and they don't know the difference.
You have to understand that a good portion of people just want to consume media, and it doesn't matter to them how good it is. If they see a bunch of marketing for it, they'll just pick that one. Hillary and her BLM thugs
It's either the hired super predators in action, or the deportation force.
In this case you have to blame the migrants.
Italy was receiving them with open arms and opened huge shelters where they received them with a pasta bowl.
The migrants got SUPER OFFENDED because it was pasta and not their traditional food and nearly rioted. It was pasta, not pork or something, and even if it was pork, aren't they supposed to be fleeing war and hunger and all that? You'd think their Imaginary friend would be ok with them eating just one time or something.
Another case was that they complained how the washrooms were dirty and some people peed in trash cans etc. And posted pictures in social media. They whined like "look how we are treated" and stuff like that. Thing is that they caused all that themselves. Only they use the washrooms, no one else. They were spotless before they arrived.
They were shown where the cleaning products are, because they simply didn't have enough staff working at there. They were told that if they need help and guidance how to clean washrooms all they have to do is ask.
Ask yourselves why flights in the middle east are so dirty.
Somebody used the bigot card and I simply provided context and showed it was not that.
And your example was flawed too. All of those particular refugees have the same common background, ideology and motivations.
It is more than just being ungrateful, they seem to not want to integrate at all, they dislike or perhaps hate western culture and they have no intention of following local laws (let's face it, someone who is supposedly fleeing war and famine and violence and is provided a safe, warm place to stay and pasta just doesn't go like "f*** your pasta where is my culture's traditional food you idiot?" If he wants to integrate and doesn't hold his new home country's culture in contempt).
The pasta thing was just an example. There is the case of the very nice French social worker who spent her own money to buy refugees soup in France and they mistook "lot date" for expiration date in the cans and said she was poisoning them. They proceeded to destroy all soup cans, screamed and made her cry.
There is the case of them ganging up and raiding trucks transporting food to the shelters.
There is the case of the pool incidents in Germany, DC etc etc. this isn't "isolated panhandler incident # 2"
I am still not saying "send them back", I am simply saying how stupid is to use the bigot card in this case.
When calling them racist or sexist doesn't work anymore, then we will accuse them of not liking the environment.
Same thing happened in Finland. They got pea soup (it tastes much better than it sounds) they declared that they will start hunger strike until they get an apology and real food. After the press left all the protesters started eating,
Instead they mess them up themselves and the whine how badly they are treated.
It is all staged lies to get into your head and bring down the boarder.

Father Kills Son
A man has been found guilty of killing his toddler son by force-feeding him a mixture of bread and cereal.
The three-year-old child “drowned in his food” after being made to lie across his father’s lap as the porridge-like was mixture poured into his mouth from a cup, the Old Bailey trial.
The 32-year-old father from north-west London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found guilty of manslaughter and cruelty to a child by majority verdicts.
The prosecutor, Simon Denison QC, said during the trial that the defendant would slap his son or send him to bed on occasions when he vomited during feeding.
On 27 November last year, the father called for an ambulance, and paramedics arrived to find the child lying on the floor in a nappy, showing no signs of life.
Denison said: “There was a very large amount of vomit that looked like a porridge substance on his face and on his chest and not the floor.
“It was very difficult to clear his airway because of the amount of porridge-like substance that was in his throat. When CPR was attempted, more of the substance came out.”
He continued: “A postmortem examination revealed that virtually all sections of his lungs were stuffed with recognizable food material. He had aspirated, inhaled, breathed in, a large amount of the porridge-like mix into his lungs so that he had, in effect, drowned in his food.”
The defendant was remanded in custody to be sentenced by Mr Justice Singh at the Old Bailey on Thursday.

5 Points on Russia
1) Almost all the "advanced equipment" Russia has is untested and unproven, or fielded in such small numbers that any effect it might have in a war scenario is next to nil. Russia has been, for the better part of century, vastly overestimating the abilities of their equipment or resort to just making things up with no proof.
2) Russia has a problem with logistics, all their advanced equipment doesn't count for anything if they can't reload or repair it. Problems with corruption and embezzlement are rampant.
3) Russia has severe manpower problems, most of their troops are untrained conscripts who are only pressed into service for a year with extremely low morale. Professional soldiers don't reenlist and most units are manned at 40 to 60%. Again, advanced equipment doesn't count for s*** if your soldiers can't operate it, much less reload or repair it. They also have very few elite units that they shove in the limelight as much as possible to fool people into thinking they're competent (like the VDV and such) but most of their units aren't at that level.
4) The US Navy and Air Force dwarf their Russian counterparts in every measurable facet. We have 10 operational super carriers with 1 in reserve (Russia has 0), roughly 5 times the amount of planes in our Air Force (not counting our Navy or Marine jets), and better equipment and training for both. We simply outclass the Russians in every meaningful way, and that's totally discounting NATO or comparing our Army + Marine Corps to the Russian land forces.
5) The Russian economy can not support war against NATO or the US. They consistently rank lower than countries like Italy or Canada in terms of GDP and their economy is in a recession at the moment. Sanctions and falling prices in oil have severely crippled them.
My problem with this topic and every topic like this is people embellishing Russia's ability to make war while intentionally underestimating the US and NATOs proven capabilities. Most of it boils down to people being shills, willful ignorance, or people just regurgitating points from RT/Russian propaganda.
Doesn't help that people cherry pick stuff that doesn't even compare, ie the US being bogged down "nation building" in places like Iraq or Afghanistan, which is nothing like a conventional war and also something that no conversational army that exists today is overly good at.

Should Have Gotten Her Some Free Clash of Clans Gems
An Ohio mother charged with suffocating her three young sons said in a recorded police interview that she smothered each boy with a blanket because she didn't want them to suffer.
Brittany Pilkington, 24, also said in her taped confession she was depressed and worried her sons would eventually become abusive toward women.
Pilkington can be heard in the recording, made in August 2015, a day after the death of her youngest son, telling officers that she was sleeping with the infant in bed and then woke up on top of him. She also was recorded saying she held a blanket over her other son's face.
The married mother-of-four is accused of suffocating her sons over a 13-month period out of jealousy at the attention her husband gave the boys.
Authorities allege she killed her 3-month-old son Niall in July 2014, his 4-year-old Gavin in April 2015 and 3-month-old Noah in August 2015. The couple's 5-year-old daughter remains in the custody of relatives.
Pilkington has pleaded not guilty to three counts of aggravated murder. Her trial is scheduled for late February 2017, and if convicted, she could face the death penalty.
A Logan County judge has been reviewing Pilkington's statements while considering a request to exclude her confession in the potential death penalty case. Her lawyers argued it was obtained unconstitutionally.
Prosecutors, however, said the Bellefontaine woman knowingly agreed to be interviewed without the presence of a lawyer.
'These were not statements that were coerced but were given voluntarily,' Logan County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Eric Stewart said.
But the defense claimed police officers pressured Pilkington into making the self-incriminating statements in violation of the 5th and 14th Amendments.
Pilkington's attorney Marc Triplett told Judge Mark O’Connor on Tuesday that police knew his client's 'lack of mental acuity' and that she didn't understand when she signed a form waiving her Miranda rights.
Stewart countered by noting that Pilkington obtained her high school diploma and that she was advised of her rights by officers at the police station and then again at the sheriff's office.
As the judge watched Pilkington's hours-long police interview in court on Tuesday and Wednesday, the woman sat quietly between her two lawyers and kept her head down, reported the station

Last week the University of Michigan held “diversity” forums sponsored by the Residential College (RC), but some were irked that the events were separated by race — one was for people of color, the other “open to all.”
Because it was geared “to create an open dialogue geared specifically to all people of color involved in the program,” a reporter from The Michigan Daily was asked to leave the forum for non-white students.
The reporter was permitted to attend the other event.
Senior Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator Logan Corey defended the racial separation, saying it was “to ensure that students and faculty of color felt safe raising concerns and sitting in solidarity with other people of color, given the current climate on campus.”
Director of Residential College Jonathan Wells added that the separate events were appropriate because it gave “people of color a space to talk without feeling ‘watched.’”

To Be White, Is To Be Racist
NORMAN, Okla. - There are startling accusations against a Norman teacher.
A student said the premise of his lecture stated all white people are racist.
The Norman North student said the teacher was lecturing on how to “heal the racial divide”.
She was stunned by what was being taught, so she pulled out her phone and started recording.
In the audio you can hear the teacher say, “to be white is to be racist, period.”
The student said she was instantly offended.
"Half of my family is Hispanic so I just felt like, you know, him calling me racist just because I'm white... I mean, where's your proof in that,” she said.
The words that followed were even more shocking to her.
In the recording you hear the teacher ask, "Am I racist? And I say yea. I don't want to be. It's not like I choose to be racist, but do I do things because of the way I was raised?"
"I felt like he was encouraging people to kind of pick on people for being white," the student said.
"Why is it okay to demonize one race to children that you are supposed to be teaching a curriculum to," her dad asked.
Norman Public Schools released the following statement regarding the issue:
"Racism is an important topic that we discuss in our schools. While discussing a variety of philosophical perspectives on culture, race and ethics, a teacher was attempting to convey to students in an elective philosophy course a perspective that had been shared at a university lecture he had attended. We regret that the discussion was poorly handled. When the district was notified of this concern it was immediately addressed. We are committed to ensuring inclusiveness in our schools." - Dr. Joe Siano, superintendent of Norman Public Schools

Tech journalist and anti-#GamerGate critic, Matt Hickey — who also happens to espouse feminist ideology — has been formally charged on three counts of rape by King County in Washington state, based on allegations from a total of five victims.
According to The Stranger, the charges that were levied against Hickey are not light. Rape in the second degree is stated as being sexual intercourse with an individual who is mentally or physically incapable of consenting under the circumstances of intercourse. They’re asking $200,000 for Hickey’s bail because they see him as a flight risk, and the prosecuting attorney has stated in the court documents that…
“The defendant has committed multiple rapes, going back as far as 2001, in which he has had sexual intercourse with women who were either too incapacitated by alcohol to know what is going on, to stop what is going on, to provide consent, or to express a lack of consent. The defendant has raped both acquaintances and women he has just met. His pattern is always the same. He provides alcohol to them, waits until they are drunk to the point they are having difficult knowing what is going on or remembering what is going on, and then has sex with them.”“If the victim later confronts the defendant and accuses him of rape, he denies raping them and tells them they initiated it or were “into it” and that he would never rape a woman.”
According to a separate article on The Stranger published back on July 20th, 2016, Hickey had denied the accusations made by some of his victims, one of which claimed he had raped her multiple times while she was blacked out. She explained to The Stranger…
“I asked him if he had used condoms, and he said, ‘Yes, until I ran out.’ So I asked him how many times, and he said, ‘I had three condoms and then it was two or three times after that.’ So he raped me at least five times in one night while I was too drunk to stand up or walk home to my house, which was five blocks away,”
Hickey responded by saying…
“I don’t know what she’s talking about in regards to the multiple condoms and stuff—even back then in my 20s I sadly didn’t have that kind of stamina.”
Some of the women reported waking up after having blacked out, naked and feeling violated. One of Hickey’s alleged victims tried committing suicide after she discovered what he had done to her.
One of his victims told The Stranger…
“I was really ashamed and disgusted, and didn’t know how to deal with that.”
Almost all of the women have the same story about Hickey; and charges of second degree rape are being pushed forward by the prosecutor. Hickey has denied the claims of rape, however.
Originally, Hickey would lure women in under the prospect of being a pornographic star using a fake Facebook account of a woman named Deja Stwalley, who was based on a high-school crush he had. He claimed to run a porn recruitment agency. He would get them drunk and claim that in order to get into the business they would have to have sex with him. He would proceed to have sex with the women after he got them drunk enough, and in some cases, after they had passed out.
Matt Hickey used to write for the Stranger and was a contributor for Forbes. Hickey had attacked Microsoft for having gogo dancers at an after-party at the Game Developers Conference earlier this year, and also was critical of #GamerGate, attacking the consumer revolt that has been aimed at improving ethics in journalism. In the piece published on Forbes on March 18th, 2016, he wrote critically of Microsoft and gaming industry, stating…

Speculations are high that Samsung Electronics may discard the Note brand, as the company’s brand reputation has suffered serious damage from the Galaxy Note 7 explosions and the consequent pullout.
“Samsung is recommended to drop the Note brand as consumers may still find it dangerous even when the new Note 8 comes out,” Kim Duk-jin, the vice chief of private-run Korea-Insight Institute, told The Korea Herald.
The tech giant Tuesday decided to discontinue the phablets upon repeated incidents of it catching fire in different parts of the world. The suspension led the company Wednesday to revise its operating profit estimate for the third quarter down by 29.63 percent on-year to 5.2 trillion won ($ 4.6 billion).
According to the institute, the perception of the Galaxy Note 7 has significantly changed over the past two months, even in Samsung’s home turf Korea.
Negative perception of the phone rose to 53 percent in October from 34 percent in August when the phone was first rolled out. Positive perception has dropped to 42 percent from 62 percent during the same period, according to the institute, citing local solutions firm Konan Technology which analyzes social network services.
Its brand reputation has also been hit hard globally as many airports issued notices banning passengers from carrying the Galaxy Note 7 onboard or in cargo, following dozens of reports of the fire-prone smartphones.
However, Samsung is likely to retain the Galaxy brand because the cost would be too high to rebuild another premium brand like Galaxy, which still has a high profile and loyalty globally, according to experts.
Lee Hae-hoon, a lawmaker of The Saenuri Party, said the halt in production of the Note 7 costs Samsung around 2.2 trillion won ($1.9 billion), adding, “Samsung appears to have given up the money to save the reputation of the Galaxy brand.”
The Galaxy series was first unveiled in 2010 after the production of Omnia -- which was known for bugs and low performance -- was discontinued.
At this point, the most critical move for Samsung is to find out the causes of the Note 7 explosions and restore trust in the market, experts said.
“Samsung should first accurately find out what led to the explosions and honestly disclose them to consumers. If the design was the problem, thorough investigation should be carried out before launching the Galaxy S8,” said Lee Byung-tae, a professor at KAIST’s College of Business.
Samsung’s new flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 is expected to be unveiled with drastic changes at the Mobile World Congress in February next year. The new phone is likely to adopt a bezel-less screen without a home button.
But this significant physical change may also lead to technical faults, as a bezel-less screen is more vulnerable to external shock and consumes more battery, which may also cause heating problems, experts said.
“As the hasty launch of the Galaxy Note 7 has been said to have contributed to the crisis this time, Samsung should not feel rushed to unveil new features for Galaxy S8,” an industry source said.

His American passport consists of at least several arrival/departure stamps from European countries.
ROOSH V also went to our 92 Peter Street location, but he later ended up at our corporate Toronto location to look for a large meeting room. He did not disclose too much information, but when asked about the purpose of this meeting, he mentioned something about awareness of Emmett Till and American history. He did not mention anything about feminism or women in Toronto.
I am giving you the heads up that ROOSH V is in Toronto, and he is planning a very huge event. The meeting room at one of our hotels which Roosh inquired about can hold at least two hundred people.
While Roosh V did not specifically give a date for his meeting, he did say that he was planning to book a room for the 2nd week of July (sic) *of 2016. Roosh V was willing to pay an extra $3,450 for an extra three of our corporate meeting rooms which can only hold at maximum ninety people. We told Roosh V that he has to book a wedding hall if he wants to allow at least two hundred people because our meeting rooms are only able to hold as much as fifty people.

Be ready for some things when you move to Toronto:
1) they will not keep you on par with their own people , you may not be eligible for your profession , you may have to pass exams & study , and people with no experience and less qualified then you ( but who have studied there and receive benefits because they are "women") will be ahead of you. No matter how good you are in your field/profession , you will find few openings and the female HR will not hire you due to lack of Canadian experience and racist bias......be ready for 3-5 years of catching up to get yourself equated to "Canadian standards ". Would it be hard for a European (female/ single) with a college degree to quickly find a decent job that would provide for a middle-class lifestyle? How much is actually needed for someone used to a very healthy and active way of living - buying only organic food, spending a lot of time outdoors, indulging in multiple hobbies and interests? I was born and raised in Toronto and have experienced only good things. I moved to 2 other countries due to work transfers and I can comfortably say that Toronto is the best city in the world! I have read the comments on this page and I want everyone to realize that no matter which country you live in you can always find an isolated bad event or things you don't like. That's not necessarily because of the country- it's because that's life!
Toronto prides itself on its multiculturalism and I think that's one of the things that make Toronto so beautiful. I lived in Toronto from the 1960s thru 1980s. Toronto went downhill with the arrival of the Jamaicans. They brought crime, guns, pimping, drugs, mugging etc. and drove the anglos away from places like Scarborough and North Toronto. The Indians and Pakistanis brought welfare dependency, slums and overcrowding. Between these immigrant communities, they have ruined Toronto. We can always point at the exceptions, but when you take into account their family members, any asset they may be to the communities is easily offset by the negative family influence. in Canada if you have less than 30grams in one bag that is simple possession not trafficking and is viewed as a huge waste of time by the court system. if a cop were to find you possessing less than 30grams, he would throw that weed back in your face, then the cop will get mad at you for not having cocaine and wasting his time, and finally be told to go home with the weed in your pocket.

So if the Canadian dollar hits that low then that would be the worst economic times Canada has faced in atleast my lifetime.

Its expensive here, it really is, but we figured out how to make it work. We never leave our flat. Ever. Toronto Is a wonderful city, when looked at from our condo's window. When we think of all the SJW's and bums, crack heads, and angry cyclists that wonder the streets at all hours, and what we pay to live here, we figured it was the best economic choice to just be shut-ins. This also saves on our mental stress and sanity as well. Not having to deal with some angry cyclist because he perceived you'd "cut him off" as you make a right turn at an intersection, but you had to cross the bike-lane, how dare you even consider crossing the bike lane, or having to always tell homeless people that you have no change, only debit money, and they should get a job so they too could have debit money really saves a lot of time in the day, and stress. Toronto is a city that delivers! You can get anything delivered, from groceries to a hand job. No problem, just look it up on the internet. Its all here! There are many companies who will pay you to work from home. So that's what we do. My wife had to leave the condo about 4 weeks ago to go to the store for something, when she got back she cried for two hours. This is life in Toronto.

I moved to Toronto 20 years ago this fall. Grew up in a small town with no jobs to speak of, so leaving was really the only option.
While rent here is crazy, and the TTC is overpriced, other prices seem fairly typical compared to what I've paid in other parts of Ontario. Half the time gas is cheaper downtown than it is in the burbs.
As far as the people here, I found it pretty easy to meet people and build a circle of friends. It's changed over the years as I've worked and lived at different places, but I'm still in touch with people I met 20 years ago. And if you do most of your errands on foot in your own area, you'll get to know people and feel like "part of the neighbourhood" pretty quickly.
There are a lot of haters out there, but most of them have never lived here, so take it with a grain of salt.

I lived in a place like that all summer to save money (yes you read that right...) only to realize that the people I was living with were drug addicts (e.g., cocaine, mdma, etc.) and criminals.
I wasn't scared for my safety but it was a very depressing atmosphere. Not the best place for a young person working their butt off to be able to go to graduate school.

Something about the place unsettled me, so I looked around and, to my shock, I realized that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES in the office were women!! Yet women find it perfectly natural that they should be surrounded by all their girlfriends.
Highly paid, secure jobs all go the women; insecure private sector jobs are left to pathetic, rapey men. Of course, once one woman gets into the government, subsequent vacancies are filled with their friends and family most of whom are women (women never help other guys). Canada is a religiously intolerant country, but not nessearilly they way you might think. In light of the Peterborough Mosque burning, I believe that was more reactionary to the terrorist attacks in France. Toronto is not very world class compared to other cities. On the list of top cities in quality of life Toronto was number 33, compared to Ottawa in number 3 and Calgary in number 7. And rent is astronomical here. Its impossible to raise a family on the average torontonian income of 70000. Calgarians get paid on average 100000 per year, and Around the same in Edmonton and St. John's. My point is that Toronto is not worth paying for.

Toronto is by far one of the shittiest cities in the world. Houses are old, ugly, expensive and will never sell. The doctors and teachers are all Canadian born and can barely solve basic math or write their own language properly. Kids don't learn anything from school compared to schools in European countries, and women would rather sleep with drug dealers and lesbians then the average male.

It appears that the women in this city are more of an issue than the high cost of living! Tip: Be wary of the women in that city. And once spotted, it is important not to have any type of contact with these Toronto women, because she might call the police on you, while she walks into a school to try & find that she can have sex with after class. Toronto offers little to an ambitious and educated heterosexual man even if he respects the rights of women.
Job prospects? Minimal. Women? Superficial and spoiled. Real-estate? Impossible.
If you are born into money then it's great but to gain true independence in Toronto is very difficult, and the women don't make it worth your while.
In other cultures I notice women are more accepting of the grind a man has to go through to become successful, so long as he puts in the work.

However I can definitely say one thing about this place. There are unions everywhere. Not a very conducive atmosphere for business. Women also participate in unions heavily. Women do have an upper hand at the places where I work and do take undue advantage of work from subordinates without giving proper credit. Probably there may have been some history to it. But that is an unbiased observation and I am an independent professional. For men, I have just one advise - Unions are fine, but keep some distance and focus on work, think out of the box and be happy.
