Problems with GT aside, lol at pretending like Super Saiyan 4 didn't look cool af and that there weren't plenty of cool designs in that series. Certainly cooler than Super.

Super Saiyan 4's main problem was that it's called Super Saiyan 4. Should have gone with something else since it's so radically different from the previous Super Saiyans.

The best thing about GT is that Super came out and deemed it non-canon. I've never even watched Super, yet it's already my favorite series simply for delegitimizing the garbage that is GT

Yeah and like nothing had an impact it felt like.
I have watched a few scenes and all of Omega Shenron or whatever's attacks were like these stupid little balls. At least Super has gotten pretty good at having powerful flashy attacks. Not quite to the extent of the original but the battles tend to be quicker and less drawn out and thus you don't get five minute chargings for a kamehameha that destroy several mountains and cause a thunderstorm and I think it's a better balance. Sacrifice a little bit of the spectacle for a snappier pace.

This looks fine. GT suffers more from the hyperbolic "perceived badness" more than anything else I can think of.
Insert random complaint that you can apply to any show or arc in the series but GT: Well, these are the reasons for that. Insert random complaint about GT: There is no reason, except that GT sucks, which is the reason, because dot dot dot. It's funny, when I see stuff like this. pikachupwnage posted... Yeah and like nothing had an impact it felt like. This guy -- going into GT -- had the perceived badness affect his opinion so much he decided "nothing had an impact" after watching "a few scenes". Because he already knew that GT sucked. Interesting. The guy in the OP is complaining about designs responsible by Bird Studios. AKA ... wait for it ... Akira Toriyama and his right hand man. Who also worked on what I'm sure TC's favorite show is, Dragon Ball Z.

GT wasn't that bad, I get it's inferior to Z but people act like it had no redeeming qualities at all.
I for one thought the Shadow Dragin saga was brilliant in that It showed that using the dragonballs has actual consequences and that it erased the "instantly fix everything at the end button" aspect to them |

GT was boring as f***, the fights were so horrible, it was just throwing ki blasts the entire time. The worst fights in Super are more flashy and entertaining then just about anything in GT not involving baby, nova and ice shenron or bits and pieces of omega

I feel like I'm the only person that like GT. It's just a point of feeling like a real fan by dissing GT that much. I didn't like it, but I certainly don't have this high level of hatred the internet has for it. Though I kind of got bored and stopped midway through the Baby arc anyway. Point being that if people think GT is such a travesty, there's no way they can be consistent without tearing Super apart since that's as bad or worse.

The Freeza arc won't change your mind, it's s***. Watch the movie and be done with it. It gets infinitely better after that arc though.

Motherf***er I can talk to for hours giving you reasons Dragon Ball GT sucks, pickachu is absolutely right the fight scenes have no impact because they're poorly animated and have no choreography take off the nostalgia glasses and actually GO WATCH Omega Shenron vs Gogeta and describe the first 5 moves they do. It's a series of headbutts with no animation or camera changes, one looney toons-esque missed tackle, and a slow elbow to the face and in between each move Shenron slowly winces in pain and slows down the fight even the clips 3khc posted are on the level of the average fight in Super; nothing there compares to DB/DBZ (especially after the Kai edit)     there's a reason people remember Namek fights like Vegeta vs Recoome (when Vegy gets his head smashed into the dirt and he still blasts Recoome in the face when he's pulled out) and no one remembers...general rildo |

I love the way they did the God Ki aura and the music that plays really emphasizes the uniqueness of the transformation  especially the last episode when Ultimate Gohan is rushing Goku, the climax of this theme kicks in and it's like...damn Gohan is f***ed MrK3V posted... This makes me wanna watch the original dragonball you should man, the last Goku vs Piccolo fight is amazing and you start to see some moves that Goku uses later in other shows like that final chest punch he repeats against Vegeta and Frieza
