Genderless Future

Joel envisions a future in which individuals are not so routinely classified based on gender alone. “We separate girls and boys, men and women all the time,” she says. “It’s wrong, not just politically, but scientifically – everyone is different.”

But other scientists contacted by New Scientist don’t think that will ever be possible – as a sexually reproductive species, identifying a person’s biological sex will always be of paramount importance to us, they say.
Even so, Joel’s findings can be used to help many people understand the non-binary nature of gender, says Barker. After all, some people don’t identify as either male or female, and others feel their gender identity shift over time. “It’s a shame that people’s experience alone isn’t enough for us to recognise as a society that non-binary gender is legitimate.”
“We need to start thinking a lot more carefully about how much weight we give to gender as a defining feature of human beings, and stop asking for it in situations where it simply isn’t relevant,” says Barker.

FF TYPE-0 HD

The port itself is pretty average. It is still locked at 30 frames because it is a PSP game but you do get some extra graphics options such as texture quality and motion blur level. Also the PC port lets you change you character speed with the left stick click, which is super useful when traveling the world map or around the school.

The actual game has numerous flaws in it. There's no real indication for which missions have a lot of flying enemies in them, so you can effectively get stuck halfway through a mission because all you have are melee characters and can't really continue, or you'll have a much harder time with it.

There are these RTS-style missions which are absolutely terrible. You basically travel around a section of the map and "command" units to attack bases and take over control, but the controls are awful and it's possible losing one base means you have to restart the mission, or just give up.

There's a severe lack of any weapon progression in the game, with most of the good weapons being impossible to obtain unless you use a guide and sometimes only available on your second playthrough. I've put about 53 hours in to the game and i've only upgraded my weapons twice.

The story really makes no sense (though part of this is probably due to me changing the audio to Japanese because one of the main reasons I bought this game was for a voice actress) but the character interactions are neat and the sidequests have interesting narratives to them.

That being said it is my favorite Final Fantasy game and my 2nd favorite Action RPG omg I love this game so much.

Wilfred Burry - In my opinion: that if they were Franch born citizens makes the big picture even worse. It's proves that the assimilation theory (what we westerners like to believe / hope for) is not working as well as the majority of the politicians and the main stream of the media want to painted for us.
And in the right mind what country would give visa or passport in the west for a "Islamic Fundamentalists" ?

Murray Mackinnon ; If they are a French citizens and they were, then they are entitled to a French Passport the same as a Canadian citizen of whatever race, religion, creed, sexual orientation is entitled to a Canadian Passport if he/she is eligible under the Passport Canada regulatiuons to travel anywhere in the world one wishes to provided you can get a Visa froim the Country you are traveling to. It is the Standard position of all Democratic Cpountries amd most of all other Countries. No mystery there or criminal behavior. Perhaps you haqe never travelled outside your own little Balliwick and are unfamiliar with the Protocal of obtaining passports. By the way, they can also be obtained illegally too.

Who will be accountable if one of these refugees isn't what he claims to be and Canadians are murdered as a result? Do we hold Trudeau personaly responsible, his government, or the fools that elected him? There is, after all, no excuse for putting another Trudeau in power, given the history and record of his father. Chester Harmony the Quran as well as the Bible and others were written many years ago, in order to fully understand these you cannot take them literally with todays language, they have to be understood from the era in which they were written. In my lifetime language has changed, thogs used to be shoes etc..... and if we were to say it's raining cats and dogs, would someone in 2000 years believe it to be so? Because of the language of the era in which the books were written, many misunderstandings can come if you were to take them litteraly, with the current undertandings of language and not to mention every time a book is rewritte, or translated it is left to the interpretation of the understanding of the author in their era.

He wan't entitled to a French passport Wilfarooni, because he wan't French. And couldn't just one member with a mesage from the head of the caliphate have brought attack orders for that to have been done, seeing as the head of the caliphate expresses the word of Allah, according to these nut bars. The article makes the woman seem unreasonable for wating to close her borders and eventually remove the migrants. Why should she not want to halt the flow of crippling budget draining people who should have stayed to fight in their own country for a better life? The majority are young men, and there was NO screening for the ones that entered Europe. France and all of Europe need to get a handle on the situation. Also, why is it written in stone that people who show up in your country as migrants or refugees be offered permanent residence and eventual citzenship? The problem should be seen as a more temporary situation, and the people be returned to there originating country at the earliest safe opportunity.

Google it. You ask that in an accusing manner. Probably because if all of you actually knew all the facts it may change your opinions, and nothing disturbs an ideologue more than having facts force them to change their opinions. I hate to see people in need as much as you do, Janice. Like our disabled people here in Canada, living in squalor and with bedbugs and drug dealers in filthy buildings. Brent Belanger; Trudeau was elected with only 39% of the Canadian population; that means that 61% DIDN'T elect him, but, in Canada that is called a "majority". What a farce of a law it is that 39% of the people, can hold the other 61% hostage. And, you Liberals, are not even humble about the unfairness of the system, but glib as all hell about it. Imagine if doctors were allowed to operate on you, having passed their exams with a 39%. What about pilots of commercial airlines, would you be fine flying with them having only passed their flight instruction with a mere 39%? Would that also be your kind of democracy, that you are touting about regarding the election? It sure as heck isn't sitting well with the 61% of us who didn't choose your buddy, J.T.

Alma-Jean Nippard So the 37% in Alberta who didn't vote Conservative don't matter?,,,,and the 51% in Saskatchewan likewise?...and in Manitoba where the Libs did get the highest percentage, and over 60% didn't vote Harper?...And then I notice you totally disregard the NWT, the Yukon and Nunavut where almost 80% didn't vote for the Conservative and the majority did vote Lib followed by NDP....I really don't know what Canada you live in or how many Canadians you really know....I would suggest you come out of your bubble and breathe a little...You might take a class in democracy while you are at it.

Liz Cote And that was true of Harper too...and I agree our system which allows such 'majorities' is antiquated and one Harper supported because he knew he could never broaden his rather narrow base....Luckily all the other parties support electoral reform and fair voting and democratic institutions too....and you are quite wrong really to say that about the 61%. It is much lower than that...more like the low to mid 30's at best. Most of Canada is pretty relieved Harper that his lot did not get back in...and while many might have preferred an NDP or Green...I think most of those are happy enough with the result...
You are also wrong about the Libs being glib about the system since they have vowed to end it before the next election...and they have started too to be more inclusive in reinstating Provincial meetings...going to Paris together etc...reforming the Senate appointments...
I'd say that is a pretty democratic agenda...Harper's was anti-democratic.

Politicians especially Baby Justin knows islam is the most fastest growing religion in the world. IN LAST 2000 YRS AFTER ITS INCEPTION they have islamised persian gulf , most of ASIA and almost half of europe !! All he is doing is securing his seat for coming elections , as these refugees and their next generations will vote for him !! They are sending out tons of emails begging canadians to DONATE for the refugees . why dont muslims crowd fund for these refugees on FB like they did for the niquab, car lady etc . why does other faiths need to do that when we know our faith is in peril once these greens get majority in canada !! Anyways school now a days DONT HOLD christmas concerts , they hold multicultural concerts !! see how it changes slowly but steadily . in next few decades canada will celebrate ID in our schools , hope full they will not sacrifice animal killings for their ID festivals!!

Ken Hedger You are right that only 70% of Canadians voted...up about 10% from the last time when Harper got his Majority...which must mean his mandate was even less warranted...But you seem to love the FPTP system we have inherited from the UK so I am not sure why you are so negative about it. I prefer electoral reform to make democracy stronger and more meaningful and more engaging for more Canadians who then wouldn't feel their voice was discounted even if their choice got 49% of the vote and the winner 51%...

Terrorists are not going to go through the hassle of trying to get into Canada or the US as a refugee. Why would they go through months and months of vetting with numerous agencies instead of just getting a real or fake passport and a real or fake visa and coming in as a tourist or student?

You are kidding, right? Terrorists won't go through the hassle? 9/11 was planned years before, after the initial attack on WTC in 1993 didn't have the desired result. Those terrorists who carried out 9/11 came to the US through Canada, on student visas only to embed themselves into neighbourhoods, sign up for flight training on US soil, blend in and assimilate as best as possible so as not to draw any attention to themselves. Terrorists don't just wake up one morning, call each other up and decide to wreak chaos and murder innocent people. All of their attacks are carefully masterminded and carried out. They are automatons of murder.

they aren't requiring months and months of vetting that's the first problem. and why not become a Canadian citizen, I'm sure JT won't take it away you out if you commit a crime or later prove to pose a threat. Many people who cross from Syria are using fake ID, so apparently it's not too hard to get and I heard that the Syrian agencies are not fully cooperating with the Canadian officials. Real passports are also being used by terrorists, so it's not JUST fake ID that poses a problem. They will sit for years to organize a plan so they surely won't be intimidated by the fast tracking that Canada is currently doing.

From time to time I hear voices urging CAUTION. Those voices are the ones I agree with. Instead of rushing headlong to welcome these people to Canada, take whatever time needed to properly screen them before opening our Country to them. For every one of you there are many more proud Canadians that realize how this country came to be that will stand in your face. You sound like a child/quebecer. Economically, Quebec and its separation has ever been a thorn in the stability and investment from abroad in our country. They have screwed our economy regularly with their fist shaking. Now you think you have an original idea. When you grow up and realize the implications to this country in terms of vast area and small tax base to cover everything we need in Canada, perhaps then you will start wearing the big pants and have a clue. California has more people than our country. We face pop. shrinkage cause families dont have enough children to replace those that die. Your really should get a clue about this country you live in and the issues we face as a nation. Clueless comes to mind.

The east has alway been rude to us and is where all the money goes. Any who like it can reside there, i never would. And for the record if you look at the map, Ontario is not central Canada, they are definitely EAST. But they like to call themselves central for some reason. I would say Manitoba is central, everything east of there is east, Quebec, Onta...See More

Rowland Fell You are so wrong, Rowland. I see you belong to the Canadian Forces - THEY would belong to all of Canada. The minerals and resources?? - not so much. Resources belong to and are under control of each province - not Canada. I presume you would have been a real supporter of Pierre Elliot Trudeau's National Energy Program, which was designed to remove control of the oil and make it a Canadian-owned resource. Didn't work to well in 1982 and it won't work that well today. Not that I am promoting separation of Canada (although I would sure as hell stand with the west if that point was reached) but with the oil resources, forestry, mining etc. in the west, we could be quite self-sufficient and buy what we don't have as a natural resources. Ontario and Quebec would be fubar'ed without the wealth transfers from the west - they're tax-imposing, money grabbing, spending fools that we ARE getting really sick of supporting and get jack squat in return.

The UN does the initial screening and allows only 2-3% of those to continue on to the next phase. That phase is then screened by the host countries security forces, which still takes place in their point of origin. Problem is that we are not bringing in your typical 'rational' refugee or immigrant. Unfortunately, there is a significant percentage of this religion that simply seeks world domination- at any cost and by any means. Anyone who disagrees is an infadel to be eliminated. For this sector of the religion, there is NO middle ground or compromise. No amount of talking, therapy or 'rehabilitation will change their views. This threat is much different and needs to be treated differently, which of course, globally, we don't seem to want to admit. And, as history shows, it won't be addressed until it is too late.

Most want a normal life, but for the few embedded with the 25000, make no mistake, there will be Canadian casualties and then Trudeau should be held criminally responsible as an accomplice. To bad politicians are never held responsible for anything they do, they just move on to a better paying job within the government. Trudeau mentioned earlier he would like to see dialogue open up with Isis, now that he is in power this is a good time for him to have a face to face with them in Syria. And the nearly one billion of our hard earned tax dollars that it is predicted to cost over the years should be going to help our seniors, our homeless and our children that go hungry every day etc.

if trudeau is really concern for those people, he should cooperate with the leaders of the world in defeating heartless terrorists. relocating millions of people is not the solution to this refugee crisis, help them get rid of the root of their problem and let them stay in their country where their traditions, beliefs and religion are deeply rooted. Justin wants to accept refugees, a good gesture of concern but not the solution, interviews and or screening is not good enough to conduct background check. a trained terrorist will never admit that he is a terrorist until he inflict harm and chaos to innocent lives. Justin should set aside his political agenda and start thinking of the welfare of his own people who voted him to power.

If one truly believes in democratic theory, then Le Pen could become as correct a national party as any other if people choose it. Actually Sharon, what you refer to as "native bloodlines" are not indigenous to North America either.A history book would be very useful to you.
Secondly, when settlers and explorers joined "natives" in North America, they went out and earned their own livings. They did not come here to receive welfare and "free" social programs paid for at the expense of the people who were already living and working here.
And finally,"natives" are probably wishing that their ancestors had defended all of what we now call "Canada". What Canadians should have learend from the "natives",is that if you do not defend your territory, your culture, and your traditional values while you can,you will eventually be so out numbered by new cultures coming in,that defending your own then becomes next to impossible.
We should learn from THEIR history so that we don't make the same mistake ourselves.

Why doesn't she tell the leaders to stop bombing these countries and creating all these refugees to begin with? Why does she overlook the obvious? It's because she supports the bombing but she doesn't like the consequences. She's a hypocrite with a warped world view just like Hollande and all his backers who are referred to as the global elite. I can't help but wonder who her financial backers are and what part they play in all this. If she doesn't speak out about the global elite (the real terrorists) then it's pretty obvious who she supports and what her agenda really is. She's not a nationalist, she's an extremist. She needs to cure herself first before she starts to preach to other people. What a sick, twisted world we live in.

Yolande Simone; You seem to have the chronological order of the facts quite wrong. It was ISIS who drove whole groups of people out of their villages and countries as they advanced and claimed more and more land obliterating borders. Then it was the LACK of bombing actual enemy targets; instead of open areas of the dessert with few casualties, by Obama and his Democrats, which gave ISIS even more power and area mass to thrive. Then only after all these terrorist attacks claimed more and more lives leading up to the big Paris attack, did the US and other countries begin a real bombing campaign. If they would have joined forces a year ago and decimated their collective enemy, then there wouldn't have been the massive refugee problem we've got today.

Trudeau and the Liberals were elected by Ontario, Quebec, the maritimes and BC.....Unfortunately they made the decision for all the other provinces which we will all pay for the next four years. Too bad there is no recall legislation in Canada!

Right, and that means they were elected by seven of the ten provinces and territories which have a majority of the population. That is called democracy. It appears that you think that if Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba do not vote for the winning party then that party should not be allowed to win. Give your head a shake and then go bury it in the sand.

Kevin Sherwood Tens of thousands eh. You dont even sound remotely Canadian. Your movement is a juvenile rant.

Ricky Mclean Sorry all you easterners need to hear it but he is right. I have mined all over this country, from the Yukon originally, and western Canada has the most beautiful sights, coastline, mountains, forests and viewpoints in the country.

Why take the chance.

Fromm was a high school English teacher in Mississauga but when his racist views and associations with white supremacists became public he was cited by the teachers' regulatory authority for "failure to maintain professional standards; not complying with college regulations and bylaws; disgraceful, dishonourable, unprofessional and/or unbecoming conduct; and practising while in a conflict of interest." On October 31, 2007, the Ontario College of Teachers rendered its ruling af...See More

.....and further more. Some of the comments and racist remarks coming from fellow Canadians, holy crap. However, while I completely disagree with your comments and opinions, I would fight to the death to defend your right to have them. Canada, what a great country!!!!

What everyone seems to forget is that if you are not of Native bloodlines You are one born from those people coming in from another country. Imagine if the Natives had turned everyone away- where would you be and what type of life would you have lived????

Clean up your own backyard first before allowing any more people in this country no matter what is happening. Take a real look everyday in this country people suffer until that is alleviated we should not be adding more heartbreak.Especially when they come here we give them a lot and they dont want to respect our customs they want their cake and eat it too.
