fake news newspeak

>tfw you realize after all this time that it's democrats and liberals that are the real fascists

Basic Tenets of Fascism:

>"Nothing against the state". Any type of questioning the government is not to be tolerated. If you do not see things our way, you are wrong.

Democrats: You don't want to sell a cake to a gay couple because of your religion? We're going to tell you you have to or close your business.

Democrats: You don't want to perform gay marriage in your church because your religious beliefs don't agree with it? Don't care. Do it or we'll close your business/church.

Democrats: Don't want to pay for contraception/abortions for your employees because your deeply-held religious beliefs disagree with the murder of unborn children? Don't care. Do it or we'll close your business/charity.

>"Everything in the state". The Government is supreme.
Democrats: Bigger government, more control of individual lives, more taxation. We can spend your money better than you can.

Democrats: Don't want/need to buy this product? We'll force you to buy it or we'll penalize you a few hundred/thousand dollars every year until you do.

Republicans: Smaller government, states rights, less taxation.

How do you explain this, lefties? Why do you use the label "fascist" to slander republicans when it seems it lines up more with your own ideology?

This is discrimination, a little different, I see where you're coming from here. No religion prohibits you from completely interacting with homosexuals, so deciding to not sell something to someone based on what they do in the privacy of their own home is peetty at best, but is it ethical for a government to restrict this? The answer is not clear.

There are people who have tried to sue for this, but this is nothing that any notable figures are pushing for, you have to be weary of this "loud minority" that media likes to focus on. Like pretending that all Trump voters are uneducated hicks, or that all Hillary voters are fat sjw's. It's just not that simple, and a tactic that media uses to de-legitimatize any political opponents.

I would say this is a much more complex issue.
Imagine that this is a company who is against vaccines or gmo's and refused to pay for something simple like a flu shot for your children.
This last part is pure speculation, but I feel like a lot of this times when this comes up it's more about not wanting to spend money than having any moral obligations against the specific problems.

If you were saying conservative vs modern dems or reps, then yes, I'd agree. But right now Democrats accept that fact that they want a bigger government, while republicans say they are in favor of a smaller government, unless it's against their personal views, (abortion, drugs, gay marriage).

At the same time, I do see where you're coming from.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but fascism is when one (small) party is in control and has extreme rule over it's people. The U.S. would be more Populist unless I'm mistaken on definitions.

And I still think it's unfair to compare the U.S. to a fascist government, under the rule of either Trump, or Hillary.
The biggest thing I think people need to realize is that no matter what, you will always be under the rule of someone. And I would rather have one like the U.S. where it's an elected body with the interest of the people, rather than one where the group with the most people and biggest guns and do what they want because they can crush all opposition.
