My co-worker was talking to me about how concerned he was about his weight. I think he's something like 5'8" and 270-280lbs. Us being Filipinos who feed largely on rice, I ask him

I myself eat only about one scoop of rice per meal (about 1/6th to 1/5th of a plate) if Im having a rice based meal. A lot of my older, more fit asian co-workers eat about that much rice too.

Ridiculous. Most people who want to lose weight would shed pounds like crazy if they examined their diet and dietary habits. I didn’t exercise since last September and by cutting things out, I lost weight. We live in this snack culture where people don’t feel comfortable unless they’re eating.
This is the one that gets me: people act like carbs and calories are the worst things ever. I don’t even think about that. People ignore sugar (which makes you fat) and sodium (salt, which makes you bloat). “Oh, but I had a salad instead of meat!” Yeah, and your salad dressing just added 25g of sugar to an otherwise healthy meal.
Stand for the anthem or sit for the game!

Since I’ve started eating healthy I’ve noticed that the worst food for you is also the cheapest. It’s like the world conspires to make you fat. It’s actually more expensive to walk in a fast food place and order a sandwich than it is to order the super jumbo meal with fries and a coke. It’s ridiculous.
I do have some sympathy for this woman. Going from 10,000+ calories a day down to 1,200 cold turkey must have felt like literally being starved to death. It would have definitely been torture. He apparently stuck his ass in the face of about 2 dozen damn homeless people on camera with quite a few witnesses interviewed saying that "if I didn't do it, they'd threaten to come back at night and beat me up".

And then how they climb out of bed to get more food? I mean it has to be brought to them; shame on the people who feed them.
How do they go to work or pay for that much food?
How do they push a shopping cart? How do they drive a car?
How do they not break their wheel chairs they only have cause they are so freaking fat?
Taking a proper sponge bath should build up a sweat in of itself with that many fat rolls on their knees.
What is their air conditioning bill?

I am the laziest and poorest piece of shit I know, all I can afford, and like to eat is tv-dinner level crap and I work from home.

You probably have to start with some kind of eating disorder to begin with where you just compulsively eat, and eat really unhealthy shit when you do. On top of having a bad metabolism, and doing no physical activity on top of that.
The one time i saw one of these shows it was some chick who couldn't leave her bed and lived in a mobile home, was eating like a bucket of chicken, multiple pizzas, burgers, and this laundry list of shit every day.
