every news organisation in Europe decided to milk it for all it's worth with "we have to let them all in" messages and a bunch of politicians hearts started to cry, and called for unconditional open borders for all.
as it just so happened by coincidence, just at the right time, the steady trickle of immigrants decided to become a river, and then a flood with several hundreds of thousands of people.
it wasn't long until the controversies started, like Refugees in Hungary who were given food and water but decided to just throw it away.

America Into Romania
Everyone in Romania, including the highly trained professionals, get paid s***ty wages and they work long hours. They get paid low wages because the state holds their hand for everything.
"Oh, we need to take this much of your salary and put it into a pension for you. We also need to take this much of your salary to put it into the medical system so that you can get free care when you need it. And we need to take this much of your salary for various social programs."
The problem is that no one really gets a pension because of how corrupt and s***ty and underfunded the pension fund is. It's just a ploy - the politicians don't give a f*** about anyone's pension, they just want to line their own pockets. The medical system is s*** and you're not going to get good treatment. The social programs are s*** too.
Basically, when leftists have their way and when socialistic democratic principles take root, you end up working for the state, for nothing, and you end up being forced to work until you're old enough to collect a "pension" so that you can "retire." There is no opportunity to be more than what the state says you are. There is no opportunity to become wealthy so that you can retire earlier and do whatever you want with your life. There is none of that.
The education system is s*** too. Romania's youth are getting dumber each generation, since the talented people are leaving the country for better places. And yet the people who most often want "progress" are the f***ing idiotic youth who think that the state knows best and that the state ought to stick it to the "rich man" and make things better for "everyone else."
It's appalling what's happening in Romania, and it's shocking that morons in America want the same kind of set up in America.
