On the surface this may appear to be a late 90's cash grab targeted at children, a shallow adaptation of a TV sketch stretched over 90 minutes à la Night at the Roxbury, or Coneheads. If you look deeper, however, it's clear that this is a blatant critique of modern day capitalism, the byproduct of human greed.
Enter Ed, portrayed by Kel Mitchell, Ed is a man removed from society and all its sins, he has no desire for money, no hatred in his heart, his only goal in life is to serve others and make them happy. He may have his own personal flaws, and exhibit characteristics associated with the likes of Asperger's Syndrome, but on the whole he is a good man. Works his job cheerfully, is friendly to all, and immune to temptation of sin.
The plot kicks off with a variation of the broken window fallacy, a common argument against capitalism. Dexter, portrayed by Kenan Thompson, indulges in the lusts of the modern day American capitalist society: a flashy sportscar, hip clothes, he brags that he will hedonistically lounge around a pool all Summer. As a consequence of his irresponsibility, and his lack of self actualization as a man, he crashes his car into his teacher's sedan, portrayed by Sinbad. He blames his actions on Ed, a common gambit by the players of capitalism, "it wasn't my fault, it was the socially unadjusted Ed." Sinbad tells Dexter that he must pay for the repair of his sedan, lest he alert the authorities that he operated a vehicle without a license. Remember, this is the backbone of capitalism: Dexter wrecked Sinbad's vehicle, and must work at Good Burger to pay off the damages, which get transferred to Sinbad, then to the auto repair shop. None of these actions provide a net benefit to the overall economy, this transfer of wealth is a non-factor that can be isolated in a closed system. Had this event never occurred, nothing would be changed outside that system. This plot device is an excellent framing tool, it tells you that for all the flailing around we do as "independent members of the free market," nothing benefits by our actions.
Dexter assumes the role of the minimum wage literal burger flipper at Good Burger, and joins the underprivileged working class, making $5/hour. He is literally in indentured servitude. However, a restaurant giant known as Mondo Burger opens across the street. Mondo Burger offers burgers twice as large as Good Burger's, at the same price point, quickly killing off Good Burger's business and potentially destroying the lives of all its employees. Mondo Burger is successful because it taps into our primal, reptilian brains; it's simple, bigger meat, it is unmistakably Freudian. When Dexter brings back the Mondo Burger to Good Burger, the female employees are overwhelmed by its size, and visibly crave it, the head Good Burger chef Spatch inspects the burger and exhibits absolute misery, for he has been cuckolded by the Mondo Burger's larger meat. How does Mondo Burger make such large meat? It's simple, they use an illegal food additive called Triampathol, unapproved by the FDA, and a secret to all outside of Mondo Burger's kitchen. The CEO of Mondo Burger, Kurt Bozwell, is capitalism personified. He expresses zero concern for the affects of his burgers on his customers, his only goal is to crush Good Burger and maximize his profits. This is a common theme that has been repeated in our nation's history again and again and again, when a corporation is given unlimited freedom with no oversight, it will exploit its workers and its customers to ensure its own success. That is what happens when currency becomes our God. Disregard the safety and well being of others, look out for only yourself, community is a hamper on our own success, et cetera.
After being thoroughly cuckolded by Mondo Burger, Dexter discovers that Ed has made a delicious secret sauce, and realizes that he can exploit Ed to save Good Burger. Good Burger forces Ed to make large quantities of Ed's secret sauce, which brings a new wave of customers and saves Good Burger from closing down. As a reward, the owner of Good Burger gives Ed a meager 10 cents for every burger sold, and Dexter's response is to write a crony contract that Ed unknowingly signs, giving Dexter 80% of the bonus. This exemplifies perfectly a major pitfall of capitalism, true work is not rewarded, ownership is, a make believe concept, why should Dexter receive 80% of the profits? Because a piece of paper says so. Work is not rewarded, manipulation is.
Mondo Burger soon realizes that Ed's secret sauce is cutting into their profit margins, in response CEO Kurt Bozwell decides to covertly pour shark poison into the sauce. This is another common practice in capitalism, it is okay to disregard the health and safety of the common people when your goal is maximizing profits. Underhanded tactics like sabotaging your competition at the expense of public health is paramount in our modern day capitalist economy.
When Ed and Dexter discover Kurt's plot, Mondo Burger goons kidnap them and throw them into a mental healthcare facility, filled with caricatures of "insane" people. Deranged people in straight jackets, drooling, and flailing about, this is our current society's perception of those that don't conform to societal norms. It is easier to disregard others as "crazy" if they don't agree with what our corporate overlords say is normal, and the default course of action is to throw them into a padded room and let them wither away and die in isolation. The blatantly exaggerated mental asylum in Good Burger is a brilliant critique of the current status of mental healthcare in America today, and asks us as viewers if this is an acceptable treatment for those "unfit" members of society, or should we provide better healthcare for all?
Ultimately, Ed and Dexter escape from the facility, and sabotage Mondo Burger by pouring high volumes of Triampathol into the Mondo Burger meat, causing them to violently explode. The police arrive, arrest Kurt Bozwell, and shut down Mondo Burger for their illegal practices. The true hero of the story is the police, oversight, and regulation. Had it not been for FDA regulation, Mondo Burger would have surely been a massive success, and poisoned and harmed many of its customers. This is no different than lead based paint used during the 50's, this is no different than tobacco companies trying to assure the general public that smoking isn't dangerous, this is no different than the factory workers of the United States Radium factory dying from radiation poison. When a corporation is given absolute freedom, it invariably exploits the working class for its own self interest.
Good Burger does an excellent job of placing a spotlight on these issues. We cannot ignore the underhanded capitalistic tactics that it portrays, this is our lives. The only solution is transparent government regulation, to protect us from the predators, the real life Mondo Burger. When corporations are forced to play by the rules, the working class grows stronger. We grow stronger. We are the the drivers of the economy, not our capitalist overlords.

German Authorities Allow Refugees To Rape
German authorities are being accused of covering up a mass sexual assault at Cologne train station on New Years Eve, during which Arab and North African migrants molested dozens of women after fireworks were thrown into a crowd.
The incident began when an intoxicated crowd of around 500 young Arab and North African men “flooded the city’s famous square between its central train station and Gothic cathedral” and “began throwing firecrackers and shooting fireworks as the new year arrived.”
At least 35 women were subjected to sexual assault during the subsequent rampage, with one report of rape. Others were targeted for theft, with at least 80 victims in total.
“I was groped everywhere. It was a nightmare. Although we shouted and beat them, the guys did not stop. I was desperate and think I was touched around 100 times in the 200 meters,” said one of the victims. “Fortunately I wore a jacket and trousers. A skirt would probably have been torn away from me.”
Around 200 police officers and federal agents were deployed but only a handful of the perpetrators were subsequently arrested.
Cologne’s Mayor Henriette Reker called a crisis meeting scheduled for today, labeling the crimes “monstrous”.
“We cannot tolerate this development of lawlessness,” Reker told the Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper.
“We will not accept that groups of North African men gather expressly for the purpose of debasing women by sexually assaulting them,” added Ralf Jager, state interior minister for North Rhine-Westphalia.
Other politicians called on Angela Merkel to change the country’s policy on admitting migrants from the Middle East.
“It can’t go on like this,” tweeted German MP Steffan Bilger. “Urgently needed: reduction of influx, secure borders, intensifying of deportations and meaningful justice.”
According to Anabel Schunke, a writer for Huffington Post Deutschland, police refused to describe the appearance of the culprits when asking for witnesses “to protect public order.”
Despite an abundance of CCTV footage, authorities decided against describing the men as Arab and North African, “so that the public would not make a connection between the crime and refugees.” Schunke writes of her concern that Germany is importing huge numbers of young men from “patriarchal, Muslim societies” that have little respect for women.
Critics have also pointed to the fact that the story has been ignored by many large German news outlets. In general, English-language mainstream media has also failed to report on what happened, although BBC News did cover the story.
“Many people accused the national media of engaging in a cover-up due to the ethnic background of the criminals, with many pointing to the fact that it took days before the details of the story reached national attention,”reports the Local.
Asylum seekers in Sweden also decided to celebrate the new year by sexually molesting women in the town of Kalmar.
“The men formed a ring around the young girls who felt very repressed. They began to grope the girls, and did not stop even though the girls repeatedly told them to. The men did not understand Swedish or English,”according to police.
The young men then made their way to a nightclub where they continued to sexually molest Swedish women.
This is not the first time that authorities in Germany have been accused of covering up crimes committed by migrants.
After a 13-year-old girl was raped at a migrant camp in Detmold, police buried the incident, fearing it could lead to “right wing demonstrations.”
“Although the rape took place in June, police kept silent about it for nearly three months, until local media published a story about the crime,” wrote Soeren Kern. “According to an editorial comment in the newspaper Westfalen-Blatt, police are refusing to go public about crimes involving refugees and migrants because they do not want to give legitimacy to critics of mass migration.”
As the Gatestone Institute documents, reports of migrants raping women in and around migrant camps in Germany have exploded since the country opened its borders to around a million “refugees” last year.

New Year celebrations in the German city of Cologne descended into chaos with a series of sexual assaults, including a rape. The attackers were described by witnesses to police as an crowd of intoxicated men of “Arab or North African” origin.
The mass attack on women “in the middle of the city” around Cologne Central Station on New Year's Eve was “an intolerable situation,” Chief of Police Wolfgang Albers told reporters.
So far the authorities have received 60 complaints. The crowd, which consisted of around 1,000 men, attacked people in the city center in what Albers described as a “crime of a whole new dimension.”
According to reports, heavily intoxicated men of “Arab or North African” origin flooded the city’s famous square between its central train station and Gothic cathedral. Aged between 15 and 35, individuals in the crowd began throwing firecrackers and setting off fireworks as the new year arrived.
With the festivities in full swing, some men began sexually assaulting women and pick pocketing revelers. Among the criminal complaints officially filed is at least one allegation of rape.
Authorities expect more victims to come forward in the next few days. Local media meanwhile reported that at least 80 people fell victim to the gangs, 35 of whom were subjected to sexual assaults. One of the victims, named only as Katja L, told Der Express about her ordeal with the crowd of men who grabbed her buttocks and breasts.

To quell the New Year’s disturbance in Cologne, the police deployed more than 200 officers, involving 143 local policemen in addition to 70 federal officers, The Local reported. On Sunday, police arrested five men at the station who had been accused of threatening and robbing females.
To address the migrant threat, Cologne’s Mayor Henriette Reker called in a crisis meeting for Tuesday, to deal with crimes she called“monstrous.”New Year’s attacks have sparked a wave of criticism of Germany's handling of the open-door migrant policy, introduced by Chancellor Angela Merkel in Septembe,r which resulted in more than a million refugees entering the country.
“We cannot tolerate this development of lawlessness,” Reker told theKolner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper.
The state interior minister for North Rhine-Westphalia, said that swift action is needed to stop such crimes from reoccurring.
“We will not accept that groups of North African men gather expressly for the purpose of debasing women by sexually assaulting them,” Ralf Jager said in an interview with the local Expressnewspaper.
Meanwhile, the leader of the North Rhine-Westphalia branch of Germany's main police union, Arnold Plickert, called the New Year's assaults “a massive attack on basic rights.”
“Any refugees who have a problem integrating into our open society and respecting the rights of other people” must be dealt with using the “full force of the law,” Plickert told German press agency DPA.
German MP Steffan Bilger from Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union used the Cologne event to urge the government to change its refugee policy.

The gang, made up of newly arrived asylum seeking men in the age of 25-30 went to Larmtorget in central Kalmar where they started to surround young Swedish girls and began groping them.
The Kalmar police tells what happened:
- The men formed a ring around the young girls who felt very repressed. They began to grope the girls, and did not stop even though the girls repeatedly told them to. The men did not understand Swedish or English. We have no suspects at this time, but there are surveillance cameras that we will check.
Among others, two 17-year-old girls were among those who were surrounded and groped by the gang.
After having exhausted the possibilities outside, the gang took to a nearby discothèque where they continued to sexually molest young Swedish women.
A security guard at the place noticed what took place and called the police. The guard also tried to kick out a person who became very angry when he was not allowed to continue the groping inside the premises.
The Kalmar police say:
- He groped two girls inside on the dance floor at the nightclub Manana. The police apprehended him and he was questioned on the spot.
It is not clear from the police report which asylum accommodation the man came from or what nationality he has.

- Meanwhile, the raping of German women by asylum seekers is becoming commonplace.
A growing number of women and young girls housed in refugee shelters in Germany are being raped, sexually assaulted and even forced into prostitution by male asylum seekers, according to German social work organizations with first-hand knowledge of the situation.
Many of the rapes are occurring in mixed-gender shelters, where, due to a lack of space, German authorities are forcing thousands of male and female migrants to share the same sleeping areas and restroom facilities.
Conditions for women and girls at some shelters are so perilous that females are being described as "wild game" fighting off Muslim male predators. But many victims, fearing reprisals, are keeping silent, social workers say.
At the same time, growing numbers of German women in towns and cities across the country are being raped by asylum seekers from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Many of the crimes are being downplayed by German authorities and the national media, apparently to avoid fueling anti-immigration sentiments.
On August 18, a coalition of four social work organizations and women's rights groups sent a two-page letter to the leaders of the political parties in the regional parliament in Hesse, a state in west-central Germany, warning them of the worsening situation for women and children in the refugee shelters. The letter said:
The problem of rapes and sexual assaults in German refugee shelters is a nationwide problem.
In Bavaria, women and girls housed at a refugee shelter in Bayernkaserne, a former military base in Munich, are subject to rape and forced prostitution on a daily basis, according to women's rights groups. Although the facility has separate dorm rooms for women, the doors cannot be locked and men control access to the sanitary facilities.
Approximately 80% of the refugees/migrants at the shelter are male, according to Bavarian Broadcasting (Bayerischer Rundfunk), which reports that the price for sex with female asylum seekers is ten euros. A social worker described the facility this way: "We are the biggest brothel in Munich."
Police insist they have no proof that the rapes are taking place, although a police raid on the facility found that guards hired to provide security at the site were trafficking drugs and weapons and were turning a blind eye to the prostitution.
On August 28, a 22-year-old Eritrean asylum seeker was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison for attempting to rape a 30-year-old Iraqi-Kurdish woman at a refugee shelter in the Bavarian town of Höchstädt. The reduced sentence was thanks to the efforts of the defense attorney, who persuaded the judge that the defendant's situation at the shelter was hopeless: "For a year now he sits around and thinks about — about nothingness."
On August 26, a 34-year-old asylum seeker attempted to rape a 34-year-old woman in the laundry room of a refugee facility in Stralsund, a city near the Baltic Sea.
On August 6, police revealed that a 13-year-old Muslim girl was raped by another asylum seeker at a refugee facility in Detmold, a city in west-central Germany. The girl and her mother reportedly fled their homeland to escape a culture of sexual violence; as it turns out, the man who raped the girl is from their country.
Although the rape took place in June, police kept silent about it for nearly three months, until local media published a story about the crime. According to an editorial comment in the newspaper Westfalen-Blatt, police are refusing to go public about crimes involving refugees and migrants because they do not want to give legitimacy to critics of mass migration.
Police chief Bernd Flake countered that the silence was aimed at protecting the victim. "We will continue with this policy [of not informing the public] whenever crimes are committed in refugee facilities," he said.
Over the weekend of June 12-14, a 15-year-old girl housed at a refugee shelter inHabenhausen, a district in the northern city of Bremen, was repeatedly raped by two other asylum seekers. The facility has been has been described as a "house of horrors" due to the spiraling violence perpetrated by rival gangs of youth from Africa and Kosovo. A total of 247 asylum seekers are staying at the shelter, which has a capacity for 180 and a cafeteria with seating for 53.
Meanwhile, the raping of German women by asylum seekers is becoming commonplace.
Following are a few select cases just from 2015:
On September 11, a 16-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified "dark-skinned man speaking broken German" close to a refugee shelter in the Bavarian town of Mering. The attack occurred while the girl was walking home from the train station.
On August 13, police arrested two Iraqi asylum seekers, aged 23 and 19, for raping an 18-year-old German woman behind a schoolyard in Hamm, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia.
On July 26, a 14-year-old boy was sexually assaulted inside the bathroom of a regional train inHeilbronn, a city in southwestern Germany. Police are looking for a "dark skinned" man between the ages of 30 and 40 who has an "Arab appearance."
Also on July 26, a 21-year-old Tunisian asylum seeker raped a 20-year-old woman in the Dornwaldsiedlung district ofKarlsruhe. Police kept the crime secret until August 14, when a local paper went public with the story.
On June 9, two Somali asylum seekers, aged 20 and 18, were sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison for raping a 21-year-old German woman in Bad Kreuznach, a town in Rhineland-Palatinate, on December 13, 2014.
On June 5, a 30-year-old Somali asylum seeker called "Ali S" was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for attempting to rape a 20-year-old woman in Munich. Ali had previously served a seven-year sentence for rape, and had been out of prison for only five months before he attacked again. In an effort to protect the identity of Ali S, a Munich newspaper referred to him by the more politically correct "Joseph T."
On May 22, a 30-year-old Moroccan man was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for attempting to rape a 55-year-old woman in Dresden. On May 20, a 25-year-old Senegalese asylum seeker was arrested after he attempted to rape a 21-year-old German woman at the Stachus, a large square in central Munich.
On April 16, a 21-year-old asylum seeker from Iraq was sentenced to three years and ten months in prison for raping a 17-year-old girl at festival in the Bavarian town of Straubing in August 2014. On April 7, a 29-year-old asylum seeker was arrested for the attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl in the town of Alzenau.
On March 17, two Afghan asylum seekers aged 19 and 20 were sentenced to five years in prison for the "particularly abhorrent" rape of a 21-year-old German woman in Kirchheim, a town near Stuttgart, on August 17, 2014.
On February 11, a 28-year-old asylum seeker from Eritrea was sentenced to four years in prison for raping a 25-year-old German woman in Stralsund, along the Baltic Sea, in October 2014.
On February 1, a 27-year-old asylum seeker from Somalia was arrested after attempting to rape women in the Bavarian town of Reisbach.
On January 16, a 24-year-old Moroccan immigrant raped a 29-year-old woman in Dresden.
Dozens of other cases of rape and attempted rape — cases in which police are specifically looking for foreign perpetrators (German police often refer to them as Südländer, or "southerners") — remain unresolved.
Following is a partial list just for August 2015:
On August 23, a "dark skinned" man attempted to rape a 35-year-old woman in Dortmund. On August 17, three male "southerners" attempted to rape a 42-year-old woman in Ansbach. On August 16, a male "southerner" raped a woman in Hanau.
On August 12, a male "southerner" attempted to rape a 17-year-old woman in Hannover. Also on August 12, a male "southerner" exposed himself to a 31-year-old woman in Kassel. Police say a similar incident occurred in the same area on August 11.
On August 10, five men of "Turkish origin" attempted to rape a girl in Mönchengladbach. Also on August 10, a male "southerner" raped a 15-year-old girl in Rinteln. On August 8, a male "southerner" attempted to rape a 20-year-old woman in Siegen.
On August 3, a "North African" raped a seven-year-old girl in broad daylight in a park inChemnitz, a city in eastern Germany. On August 1, a male "southerner" attempted to rape a 27-year-old woman in downtown Stuttgart.
Meanwhile, parents are being warned to look after their daughters. Police in the Bavarian town of Mering, where a 16-year-old-girl was raped on September 11, have issued a warning to parents not to allow their children to go outside unaccompanied. They have also advised women not to walk to or from the train station alone because of its proximity to a refugee shelter.
In the Bavarian town of Pocking, administrators of the Wilhelm-Diess-Gymnasium havewarned parents not to let their daughters wear revealing clothing in order to avoid "misunderstandings" with the 200 Muslim refugees housed in emergency accommodations in a building next to the school. The letter said:
A record 104,460 asylum seekers arrived in Germany in August, bringing the cumulative total for the first eight months of 2015 to 413,535. Germany expects to receive a total of 800,000 refugees and migrants this year, a four-fold increase over 2014.
At least 80% of the incoming refugees/migrants are Muslim, according to a recent estimate by the Central Council of Muslims in Germany (Zentralrat der Muslime in Deutschland, ZMD), a Muslim umbrella group based in Cologne.
The asylum seekers are also overwhelmingly male. Of the 411,567 refugees/migrants who have entered the European Union by sea so far this year, 72% have been male, 13% women and 15% children, according to calculations by the United Nations Refugee Agency. Information about the gender of those arriving by land remains unavailable.

"The practice of providing accommodations in large tents, the lack of gender-separate sanitary facilities, premises that cannot be locked, the lack of safe havens for women and girls — to name just a few spatial factors — increases the vulnerability of women and children within the HEAE. This situation plays into the hands of those men who assign women a subordinate role and treat women traveling alone as 'wild game'.
"The consequences are numerous rapes and sexual assaults. We are also receiving an increasing number of reports of forced prostitution. It must be stressed: these are not isolated cases.
"Women report that they, as well as children, have been raped or subjected to sexual assault. As a result, many women sleep in their street clothes. Women regularly report that they do not use the toilet at night because of the danger of rape and robbery on the way to the sanitary facilities. Even during daylight, passing through the camp is a frightful situation for many women.
"Many women — in addition to fleeing wars or civil wars — are also on the run for gender-related reasons, including the threat of forced marriage or genital mutilation. These women who face special risks, especially when they are on the run alone or with their children. Even if they are accompanied by male relatives or acquaintances, this does not always ensure protection against violence because it can also lead to specific dependencies and sexual exploitation.
"Most female refugees have experienced a variety of traumatizing experiences in their country of origin and while on the run. They are victims of violence, kidnappings, torture, rape and extortion — sometimes over periods of several years.
"The feeling to have arrived here — in safety — and to be able to move without fear, is a gift for many women.... We therefore ask you...to join our call for the immediate establishment of protected premises (locked apartments or houses) for women and children who are travelling alone....
"These facilities must be equipped so that men do not have access to the premises of the women, with the exception of emergency workers and security personnel. In addition bedrooms, lounges, kitchens and sanitary facilities must be interconnected so that they form a self-contained unit — and thus can only be reached via lockable and monitored access to the house or the apartment."
The problem of rapes and sexual assaults in German refugee shelters is a nationwide problem.
In Bavaria, women and girls housed at a refugee shelter in Bayernkaserne, a former military base in Munich, are subject to rape and forced prostitution on a daily basis, according to women's rights groups. Although the facility has separate dorm rooms for women, the doors cannot be locked and men control access to the sanitary facilities.
Approximately 80% of the refugees/migrants at the shelter are male, according to Bavarian Broadcasting (Bayerischer Rundfunk), which reports that the price for sex with female asylum seekers is ten euros. A social worker described the facility this way: "We are the biggest brothel in Munich."
Police insist they have no proof that the rapes are taking place, although a police raid on the facility found that guards hired to provide security at the site were trafficking drugs and weapons and were turning a blind eye to the prostitution.
On August 28, a 22-year-old Eritrean asylum seeker was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison for attempting to rape a 30-year-old Iraqi-Kurdish woman at a refugee shelter in the Bavarian town of Höchstädt. The reduced sentence was thanks to the efforts of the defense attorney, who persuaded the judge that the defendant's situation at the shelter was hopeless: "For a year now he sits around and thinks about — about nothingness."
On August 26, a 34-year-old asylum seeker attempted to rape a 34-year-old woman in the laundry room of a refugee facility in Stralsund, a city near the Baltic Sea.
On August 6, police revealed that a 13-year-old Muslim girl was raped by another asylum seeker at a refugee facility in Detmold, a city in west-central Germany. The girl and her mother reportedly fled their homeland to escape a culture of sexual violence; as it turns out, the man who raped the girl is from their country.
Although the rape took place in June, police kept silent about it for nearly three months, until local media published a story about the crime. According to an editorial comment in the newspaper Westfalen-Blatt, police are refusing to go public about crimes involving refugees and migrants because they do not want to give legitimacy to critics of mass migration.
Police chief Bernd Flake countered that the silence was aimed at protecting the victim. "We will continue with this policy [of not informing the public] whenever crimes are committed in refugee facilities," he said.
Over the weekend of June 12-14, a 15-year-old girl housed at a refugee shelter inHabenhausen, a district in the northern city of Bremen, was repeatedly raped by two other asylum seekers. The facility has been has been described as a "house of horrors" due to the spiraling violence perpetrated by rival gangs of youth from Africa and Kosovo. A total of 247 asylum seekers are staying at the shelter, which has a capacity for 180 and a cafeteria with seating for 53.
Meanwhile, the raping of German women by asylum seekers is becoming commonplace.
Following are a few select cases just from 2015:
On September 11, a 16-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified "dark-skinned man speaking broken German" close to a refugee shelter in the Bavarian town of Mering. The attack occurred while the girl was walking home from the train station.
On August 13, police arrested two Iraqi asylum seekers, aged 23 and 19, for raping an 18-year-old German woman behind a schoolyard in Hamm, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia.
On July 26, a 14-year-old boy was sexually assaulted inside the bathroom of a regional train inHeilbronn, a city in southwestern Germany. Police are looking for a "dark skinned" man between the ages of 30 and 40 who has an "Arab appearance."
Also on July 26, a 21-year-old Tunisian asylum seeker raped a 20-year-old woman in the Dornwaldsiedlung district ofKarlsruhe. Police kept the crime secret until August 14, when a local paper went public with the story.
On June 9, two Somali asylum seekers, aged 20 and 18, were sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison for raping a 21-year-old German woman in Bad Kreuznach, a town in Rhineland-Palatinate, on December 13, 2014.
On June 5, a 30-year-old Somali asylum seeker called "Ali S" was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for attempting to rape a 20-year-old woman in Munich. Ali had previously served a seven-year sentence for rape, and had been out of prison for only five months before he attacked again. In an effort to protect the identity of Ali S, a Munich newspaper referred to him by the more politically correct "Joseph T."
On May 22, a 30-year-old Moroccan man was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for attempting to rape a 55-year-old woman in Dresden. On May 20, a 25-year-old Senegalese asylum seeker was arrested after he attempted to rape a 21-year-old German woman at the Stachus, a large square in central Munich.
On April 16, a 21-year-old asylum seeker from Iraq was sentenced to three years and ten months in prison for raping a 17-year-old girl at festival in the Bavarian town of Straubing in August 2014. On April 7, a 29-year-old asylum seeker was arrested for the attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl in the town of Alzenau.
On March 17, two Afghan asylum seekers aged 19 and 20 were sentenced to five years in prison for the "particularly abhorrent" rape of a 21-year-old German woman in Kirchheim, a town near Stuttgart, on August 17, 2014.
On February 11, a 28-year-old asylum seeker from Eritrea was sentenced to four years in prison for raping a 25-year-old German woman in Stralsund, along the Baltic Sea, in October 2014.
On February 1, a 27-year-old asylum seeker from Somalia was arrested after attempting to rape women in the Bavarian town of Reisbach.
On January 16, a 24-year-old Moroccan immigrant raped a 29-year-old woman in Dresden.
Dozens of other cases of rape and attempted rape — cases in which police are specifically looking for foreign perpetrators (German police often refer to them as Südländer, or "southerners") — remain unresolved.
Following is a partial list just for August 2015:
On August 23, a "dark skinned" man attempted to rape a 35-year-old woman in Dortmund. On August 17, three male "southerners" attempted to rape a 42-year-old woman in Ansbach. On August 16, a male "southerner" raped a woman in Hanau.
On August 12, a male "southerner" attempted to rape a 17-year-old woman in Hannover. Also on August 12, a male "southerner" exposed himself to a 31-year-old woman in Kassel. Police say a similar incident occurred in the same area on August 11.
On August 10, five men of "Turkish origin" attempted to rape a girl in Mönchengladbach. Also on August 10, a male "southerner" raped a 15-year-old girl in Rinteln. On August 8, a male "southerner" attempted to rape a 20-year-old woman in Siegen.
On August 3, a "North African" raped a seven-year-old girl in broad daylight in a park inChemnitz, a city in eastern Germany. On August 1, a male "southerner" attempted to rape a 27-year-old woman in downtown Stuttgart.
Meanwhile, parents are being warned to look after their daughters. Police in the Bavarian town of Mering, where a 16-year-old-girl was raped on September 11, have issued a warning to parents not to allow their children to go outside unaccompanied. They have also advised women not to walk to or from the train station alone because of its proximity to a refugee shelter.
In the Bavarian town of Pocking, administrators of the Wilhelm-Diess-Gymnasium havewarned parents not to let their daughters wear revealing clothing in order to avoid "misunderstandings" with the 200 Muslim refugees housed in emergency accommodations in a building next to the school. The letter said:
"The Syrian citizens are mainly Muslim and speak Arabic. The refugees have their own culture. Because our school is directly next to where they are staying, modest clothing should be worn in order to avoid disagreements. Revealing tops or blouses, short shorts or miniskirts could lead to misunderstandings."A local politician quoted by Die Welt newspaper said:
"When Muslim teenage boys go to open air swimming pools, they are overwhelmed when they see girls in bikinis. These boys, who come from a culture where for women it is frowned upon to show naked skin, will follow girls and bother them without their realizing it. Naturally, this generates fear."The increase in sex crimes in Germany is being fueled by the preponderance of Muslim males among the mix of refugees/migrants entering the country.
A record 104,460 asylum seekers arrived in Germany in August, bringing the cumulative total for the first eight months of 2015 to 413,535. Germany expects to receive a total of 800,000 refugees and migrants this year, a four-fold increase over 2014.
At least 80% of the incoming refugees/migrants are Muslim, according to a recent estimate by the Central Council of Muslims in Germany (Zentralrat der Muslime in Deutschland, ZMD), a Muslim umbrella group based in Cologne.
The asylum seekers are also overwhelmingly male. Of the 411,567 refugees/migrants who have entered the European Union by sea so far this year, 72% have been male, 13% women and 15% children, according to calculations by the United Nations Refugee Agency. Information about the gender of those arriving by land remains unavailable.
Of the asylum seekers arriving in Germany in 2014, 71.5% of those between ages 16 and 18 were male; 77.5% in the 18-25 age group were male; as were 73.5% of those between 25 and 30, according to German migration statistics. Data for 2015 is not yet available.
