GCN cuz it got all the great Dreamcast games anyway lol. Both Sonic Adventures, Crazy Taxi, Skies of Arcadia, etc
It's tough because Shenmue and Shenmue II are the greatest games ever made, but I'd say GameCube because a lot of good Dreamcast games made to to GC and other systems.
Shenmue II = best game of all time
Shenmue = 2nd best game of all time
Dreamcast was overrated. Yes technically it had the best ratio of quality games but with a library that had ~80 total in the US that’s not saying much.

I like the DC more, but the GameCube is arguably the GOAT system for me. For the times, going from DC to GC was smooth and extremely satisfying.

DC was great because it was like a smorgasbord of new, experimental IPs, and since it borrowed so much from the Naomi arcade setup, you got a bunch of arcade ports. It has a unique feel to it.

But sadly it failed, and most of the great DC games went to the other systems. GC got a bunch of upgraded ports on top of all the Nintendo greats, thus GOAT.

Ease of piracy was one of the things that did the Dreamcast in, and 300 gigs of hard drive space and a spindle of CDs means you have access to the entire 250 game library.
I faced it all and I stood tall- And did it my way.

To be fare , RE: Remake. Super Monkey Ball. For me, the preorder perk of the Vector Star Wars game that came with Rogue Leader II. Which is hugely personal to me.
The First Pikman!! But ya, I either played the GC a lot, or forgot I had it.

The Dreamcast, on the other hand, is timeless.
If you are into that sort of gaming.

Paper Mario
Plus all the games that mattered from the Dreamcast. And that's barely a start.

Better question: The fuck did the Dreamcast have that didn't go to the Gamecube?

Nah its sequel just went to the Xbox instead.

That game was massively overrated anyway. Great for the time but replaying it is such a chore and boring af. Did not age well.

People who love to laugh at the Dreamcast library are the people who are only aware of about twenty Dreamcast titles. What didn't go to the Gamecube?

4x4 Evolution, Blue Stinger, Ecco, Headhunter, Metropolis Street Racer, Ooga Booga, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Super Magnetic Neo, Toy Commander, Time Stalkers, Space Channel 5, Rez, Slave Zero, Outtrigger, Illbleed. Just to name a few.

Sturmwind is legit as fuck, and to my knowledge still only on the DC.
Also Puyo Puyo Fever.

Had Sega not gone under, the Dreamcast likely would’ve been more successful. Sega was ready for online gaming, and Nintendo wasn’t.

That being said, with benefit of hindsight and all, GameCube was better - even has plenty of Dreamcast ports on it.

lol Under was the only place Sega was going. It had no chance against any of the other 6th gen consoles.

This is about the DC Vs GC.
But to say the Dreamcast doesn't have a place in the 6th gen is wrong.
Sega always pushed the boundaries. They have been way more innovative than Nintendo.
But as a price for that, they are somewhat the victim of their own success. ((As well as piss poor marketing post Genesis/Megadrive years.))

Gamecube, by far.

Dreamcast has great games and I love the system but the GC library is much, much bigger and full of better games. You got lots of 3rd party games in the early days of the systems life, some of Nintendo's best work (Windwaker, Twilight Princess, Sunshine, Double Dash) not to mention IMO the greatest game to come out of that era of gaming (Metroid Prime and its still awesome sequel) and the 3rd party exclusives like Baten Kaitos, ToS, Resident Evils, Factor Five games...

PLUS the Gamecube had the GB Player which increased its library X 10.

Dreamcast's best fighting game was the broken MVSC2 that no one plays anymore, while Gamecube has Melee which is still played at EVO competitively.

Yeah. Shenmue aged terribly. Almost every sandbox game released since GTA3 is vastly superior, and still many people find those games lacking in content.

Broken, it was arcade perfect. But LOL and mistaking a fun brawler with an actual fighting.
