Center left. Anti-war, supports gay marriage and rights, supports social programs and free schooling and universal income, is for some degree of gun control, etc. He's regressive when it comes to trans people and has a lot of conservative friends, though.

Seems like a left-libertarian who really plays the "centrism" card. Dude seems cool all in all but he does help turn the valve on the classic liberal centrist >>> Alt-right/alt-lite pipeline with his guests and the unfortunate video recs tagged to his videos.
Him having those bozos trying to defame social sciences by getting 2 journals published kinda left a sour taste but whatevs. |

He's basically a honey pot that lures in extremists on both sides and then tries to talk them back into the mainstream, while at the same time telling them to do things that will fuck them up mentally and derail and discredit them.

As mentioned, he has a ton of left stances. He's more progressive than nearly anyone in American politics.
The only thing that makes him alt right are some of his guests and his wacky diet conspiracies. He sometimes shows his age when discussing a few social issues too. |
