I'm extremely disappointed with Nintendo of America right now. Seriously, I can't think of any company who are bigger prudes than them. If the censorship for this turns out to be as bad as it was with Fire Emblem Fates, I won't be buying TMS. The Xenoblade X censoring was annoying but I still bought it. I'm upset because I was looking forward to this game. It's one out of the FOUR games I got the console for. That's sad enough when you only have 4 games you're looking at during a consoles lifetime. [Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade X, TMS and Zelda] My interest in this game wasn't that great because I didn't know much about it, other than it's a console JRPG. Those are getting rare these days. But knowing that it's going to be censored kills the hype enough to make me lose almost all interest.

Cool story. But you do know that a slight costume change is not going to alter neither story nor gameplay, and if there wasn't that one particular news story, you wouldn't have even noticed the difference.

I also heard something about not getting a hotsprings DLC. This could just be the beginning of a lot of ridiculous changes. That's why I said if it turns out to be as bad as FE:F with where certain content was outright cut from the game, I'm boycotting.

What was so bad about FE:F? They removed a boring minigame and a few costumes and... well, that's it.

And for the record, it's only called censorship if it's carried out by an outside party, like a government. Nintendo changing it's own product isn't censorship, its the company exercising its legal right to change its own IP.

^ IMO, that's pretty awful and worth boycotting.

I think it will stop with ageing tubasua. The rest of the game is only T because "the game models has brests oh noooo"

Are you against censorship or s***ty translations, pick one or the other please, because believe it or not smart guy, they aren't the same thing. And based on what I've seen the majority of the support conversations are mostly unchanged.

The very fact that they outright removed content and still had the absolute gall to also have well over 30 dollars of paid DLC is disgusting. We outright got less game than Japan did, which is unacceptable.

That's wrong. Censorship is a concept that exists outside the law. It refers to when an outside body forces someone to change their message. In this case Nintendo of America is altering the work of FE's development team. It's censorship.

And I agree TC, it's stupid. I'm actually skipping the English FE and Xenoblade X for this reason. Might change my mind on XCX though.

Still day 1 purchase for me. Thanks though for sharing your feelings at gamefaqs TC :)

You say sailors, but you don't mean just any sailor, do you?
Me, though I wasn't that interested in the first place. I was going to buy a copy just to kind of show my support for localizing niche titles, but if they're going to continue to do this, no thanks.

Hey blind guy, did you even watch the video? Or do you really not see what's wrong with it?

Let's just wait to see if it is as bad as fates in that regard

And what makes you think NoA doesn't run it by the devs first?

DId you really not expect a game like this to get censored? LOL
This game was made to be censored for the west. Anyway whatever, not interested in it anyway.

Sure boycott a game that probably isn't going to sell in the West anyway, that'll show em!
Seriously, if you're going to boycott over such minor bs then you probably weren't very interested to begin with.

I'll probably buy the games used. I appreciate it doesn't have on dick DLC like most Nintendo games but I still can't support censorship.

I'll probably still buy it but I'm getting pretty sick of most the changes being centered around women and their outfits.

I'm an artist who grew up with gaming that is quite fond of sexy art so it's pretty disappointing to see how Nintendo games have cut content that would never be a problem on any other platform in this day and age.

Why would they bother to cover up cleavage?

I'll wait and see if the rumors are true. If they are, then no buy. I won't be a party to it anymore. Censorship is wrong no matter the reason, and XCX was the last straw for me.

Skipping Bravely Second for this reason too, sadly.
