It was dumb to mix this person in with the general population of a women's prison when she still has an intact penis, especially given the nature of her crimes. Seems like common sense to keep someone like this isolated.

I'm confused here, people keep saying that this individual still had a penis before being moved into the all female prison back in March, but the article says that he had a sex change operation. When exactly did they have a sex change operation, as it seems only recently that this person was segregated for their behavior.
On a side note, it's a bit strange but interesting that all of a sudden, conservatives care about prison rape. Why all of a sudden is it an issue because I've seen very few conservatives (and to be fair even a lot of liberals, but especially conservatives) that seem to care about it when it's male on male. Hell it's usually socially acceptable to joke about. |

Here's another point of view. Don't take a case like to mean you can throw out transgender rights across the board. You said it yourself. This is far from a normal case. When it's the only case it goes against the "isolated incident" argument. Statistically speaking it makes 100% of rapists that go to female prisons then rape the female prisoners.
There's plenty of women rapists who didn't do anything of the sort in jail.
And this particular case? She only made advances. She didn't rape anyone in jail.
