- When did History Channel stop showing actual history shows?
I feel like whenever they do actual history anymore, they're putting all their eggs into high-production miniseries like The Men Who Built America and The World Wars (both of which I personally enjoyed quite a bit).
Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read.

Though I really enjoyed "Commanders at war"

Ice Road Truckers That was the line up when I had the channel like 6 or 7 years ago. Guess they chose a good name for the channel

I remember that documentary they did on The Dark Ages was one of the last good things they did before switching over to the reality based format they have now.
H2 had a lot of potential and for awhile it actually had some shows and documentaries related to history and even aired new episodes of that great show The Universe. Last time I checked though, it went down the crapper like the main network.

Would you rather they just show Hitler shows all day like they used to?
People used to refer to it as The Hitler Channel |

I haven't watched since like 2008 but it was getting pretty bad even then. When the channel first started it was legitimately great though. You can say that about any channel. Like FX. I loved all of those original shows they did in that NYC apartment. Like Breakfast Time. I Loved Breakfast time!!
