I haven't really found a good thread for this yet, so here it is. Who are the worst pairings in the game? Why? Remember, this is based on the supports, not the children stats, but some supports can include children (i.e. Why did no-nonsense Fredrick raise a child with Tharja and it ended up as such a wimp?)

DonnelxTharja and KellamxLissa are pretty terrible from the standpoint of what the husbands get themselves into though.....

Gerome X Lucina is just boring.
There are FAR worse Supports in the game. Reigning champion goes to Inigo X Nah. Easily the worst support in the game. I hate it.

normally cordelia begins to love the other character while keeping her crush on chrom but she flat out says she doesnt love frederick but she will stay with him because she knows chrom will never love her and frederick just goes with it its really sad (not emotionally) at least it makes sense why severas pissed though

Like, yeah most supports have this problem but this one is so abrupt%u200B it's jarring. At least others have some sort of build up.

Honestly Inigo is only not annoying with F!Morgan because she's the one in control, Noire because he's scared for his life, and Nah because he's scared for his life. Even though one of his better supports is with Severa, he's still somewhat of an over-eager pest. Although, I can't really remember Kjelle and Cynthia supports with him. I do remember he wasn't interested at all in Cynthia though. Yeah abrupt jumps are just a thing with supports here. I know it's meant to be like 'the character interact outside of supports, and we only get to see the progress in their relationship through these specific moments', but it's still...

Kjelle basically beats the crap out of him for three ranks and Cynthia is Morgan-lite without all the humor of best daughter. Inigo x Lucina stands out to be because she showed dislike of him for pretty much the entire support. To see her suddenly ask him to marry her is super jarring. Especially the run up. Also, legend!

Inigo annoys her the entire time, and she gets rather angry at him, but then she still gets angry at him in the S-support because he's a philandering jerk. Inigo only shows commitment to F!Morgan (his best support) the one girl who actually wants to see him go philandering to enjoy watching him fail (best daughter, Inigo you're a dead man for leaving her to go play in Fates land), Severa in which he was so over eager and bought her a ring prior to the S support, and Nah because he'll die otherwise. That'd be like F!Robin still getting mad at Chrom in their S!Support, but then still wanting to get married, which would be awful. And at least Chrom wasn't being a pest to receive her wrath, just being a dork. Wicket! Apparently Heroes got bride units. So some trailer. Lyn basically being like, "this is stupid", is hilarious to me for some reason.

I actually liked Inigo and Lucina, because it meshed very well with Inigo's support with his father. The whole point of his joking and happy personality, and what purpose it serves.
He is always smiling, despite his own pain, because he wants to make everybody else happy. I found that his support with Lucina made a lot of sense, in his own weird way, with him trying to get the most stoic and serious member of the army to actually enjoy life for a little bit. Lucina is crushed under the weight of her obligation, Inigo aims to allow her time to relax from that stress.

Great support chain and surprisingly workable S support. Just two dumb teenagers hooking up and having fun. 11/10 best and funniest Inigo support. I chose to ignore Fates and everything in it because it's such a big, dumb mess. Ruins the Awakening trio. I want my memories of Awakening and its character unsullied. Fuck Fates. Although I'll also say Inigo should know better than doing anything to upset Morgan considering who her dad is. The man killed a giant, doomsday dragon. Doing the same with a philanderer shouldn't be a problem. Dork!Chrom is best Chrom. Always a pleasure to see you, legend! <3 Yeah, bride banner. Real dumb. No interest whatsoever.

ChromxOlivia is probably one of the dumbest pairings for Chrom. Maybe it wouldn't be if Olivia was introduced earlier in the game, but her being introduced right at the end of Chapter 10 and being able to marry Chrom right after the following chapter will never make sense in my eyes.
Also, Chromxfemale Avatar is far worse than ChromxSumia. |

I used to do a lot of support grinding and I sat through supports that were meh at best, but Gaius x Nowi is just supremely bad, imo
It's 3 supports of Gaius trying to get Nowi off his case because he thinks she's annoying and the S support takes a 180 degree turn culminating with Gaius literally saying "let's get hitched and see what happens." He even tells her that he doesn't like her in their B support. |

Probably Chrom/Sumia, it´s literally just cakes.
Inigo/Nah is also pretty bad. The idea of Olivia and Chrom marrying so fast is kinda dumb, but I actually find their supports really cute and they are automatically unlocked in the Support Log so I don´t mind, Lissa also mentions it being so fast, but that may have been with all brides and I just don´t remember. |
