Okay, I'm wanting to get into console gaming. Been here and their trying to see which of the two companies seem better for me. And Xbox seems to be more interesting from what I've gathered so far. So, to help me out a bit, I want to see why others like the Xbox over the PlayStation. What are your highlights that Xbox/MS offers that PlayStation/Sony does not. Simply asking for your opinions, is all. Thanks in advance.

I would go with the one that has the most interesting games and more friends to play with. Both consoles are fun and offer similar enough experiences. If you plan on getting both then choosing obviously is a non-issue.
I bought an Xbox One because I slightly prefer the exclusives. I favor the Xbox controller layout over the dualshock PS controller about 60/40. The biggest reason I chose Xbox was because on XBL. I have the most fun playing coop with friends,XBL was the better choice for me.

go with what one feels better to you, as the majority of game time is usually spent on multi-plats.

I've also done some research on the Preview Program, which is greate because I'm looking forward to PlayerUnknown's Battleground, and if I read things right, it's the reason xbox is getting it. I like the Xbox exclusives over Playstation exclusives. I play on PC too, so sometimes I have to choose between PC and Xbox, so Play anywhere is a great thing for me. I do like a few Playstation exclusives but there's only been a handful of PS exclusives that I care about the past few gens. This gen it's the PSVR stuff.
From what I've seen by douchebag sony fanboys who troll these boards, and from the reactions of normal Sony fans (normal fans are fine, It's great that they love the games instead of hating a piece of plastic) going apes*** over stuff like Final Fantasy and Last Guardian, and then practically ignoring stuff like Ace Combat and Rez... I'm just really disconnected from the Sony fanbase. For the most part, Xbox exclusives and the direction of Xbox has been much more in tune with what I want, except for the Kinect years and the Xbox One kinect decision. But they've been undoing all of that over the years, so it looks like it's back on track for me.

Just look at one of those exclusive games comparisons and buy the console that has the better games for you. That, or just get the console that most of your friends/family have.

Why by one console over another, here are the 2 reasons
1:- Your friends play that system 2:- It has the games you want to play That's it, as yourself those 2 questions that buy accordingly. Screw the fanboy nonsense as nether Microsoft or Sony know who you are. Of the 2 though, genuinely Microsoft is trying to improve its service, while Sony is seemingly coasting on its dominant position, hopefully that changes though and they work harder on more services for its players. |

It's too bad sony didn't allow this on their system, but I'm a huge fan of EA Access and it's been one of my favorite subscription services since it released. $30 a year is practically nothing and I have so many games I enjoy and are games you can easily sink hundreds of hours into if they're your cup of tea (fifa, madden, battlefront, battlefield, pga golf, nfs) plus the 10 hour trials are awesome.
Can't wait for Bf1 and Titanfall 2 to hit the vault in a few weeks!

Attack the arguments; not the people. TC wants to know reasons to get an Xbox One over a PS4. Sure, I get that it can be seen as a troll or reverse troll topic that will only encourage people to talk about how the PS4 / Pro performs better than the Xbox One in terms of sales and performance. Why not just answer the question though? Give reasons. If someone counters your arguments, then try to do the same. Personally, I think Agentspoon gave a good list. I will also encourage the TC to do his own research to determine what is best for him. Based on games, features, controllers, friends, etc. See what works for you. A great feature to someone may be of no use to you.

I had planned to buy a XB1 and PS4 in the beginning, but I ended up putting that cash for the PS4 towards a gaming PC. For me I went with Xbox because all my friends and family are on Xbox, and there just wasn't enough games I was personally interested in on the PS4 to justify my purchase of one.

Really, the be is probably one of THE best reasons to go with Xone. In addition to this generation's games, you'll have access to last hen's and now, original Xbox games.
Not knocking PlayStation, but they just can't offer that without an additional cost. Of course, if you are new to consoles, it will cost you to buy some of themes games, but you'll also get some free with games with gold.

I countered it with how horrible MS actually is (along with other corporations too) and that he wasn't doing anybody any favors by supporting a such a corporation, just because it's an American company. I did state that I've been looking into console gaming for a while. That includes coming on here for quite some time and posting in games I've seen, played, or watched others play. I never said I never played any games on a console. I have friends that have these consoles, so I've played them. So, yeah.

My point was that the poster claimed MS was good for America (in so many words). I countered it with how horrible MS actually is (along with other corporations too) and that he wasn't doing anybody any favors by supporting a such a corporation, just because it's an American company. In fact, one could argue that you are HURTING America by doing such and empowering these bastards.
At the end if the day, all corporations are after one thing : money. Let's not pretend that Sony cares any more about you than Microsoft or Nintendo or apple or McDonald's.

No argument there and I have no problem with them trying to make money. They must make money to stay in business. Also, I never said Sony cared about me and I would never claim that. As for your topic, for me at least, because I like literally everything better on the Xbox than the Playstation. Controller, UI, online structure and features, console features, community, you name it. The only thing that I will concede Playstation has over Xbox is exclusives but that is largely a non-issue for me as I'm not particularly interested in exclusives from either of them.Posted using GameFlux
