I either get rid of it today or they said this week they start the process.

Is this going to f*** up my credit background? It sucks too because my lease is up in 50 days lol. It just pisses me off because I just walked inside the building and there's a guy walking his German shepherd dog outside. The neighbors have pit bulls and pinschers but were being singled out while everyone has restricted breeds too.

The problem in all this is we're moving soon to Nevada for a police job so I can't really sign up for a new lease

is it possible to leave it with a friend or relative willing to take care of it until you can move out

They probably told them about their dogs. That's an extra bit in the lease and an extra charge.

oops, i have some knowledge of being evicted in that circumstance but with non-payment of rent (before i was 18) yes it will mess up credit rating because it is an "eviction".
worse that can happen they take you to court and have X amount of days to leave. just make sure rent is up to date and the lease explaining the terms of what is allowed may help you out.

Pay $65 to have it listed as an emotional support animal and they can't legally do a f***ing thing.

Assuming it's in the lease that you can't have a dog: fair, next.

Yep.

I don't think that's true, at least not universally. Service animals get preferential treatment by law, support animals less so

Listed emotional support animals can't even be questioned by certain businesses. Sure, some people abuse the law, but it's taken fairly seriously, as it should.

This DEFINITELY isn't the national law at all. ESA only have certain special privileges on airlines and in housing, and for the latter you absolutely need to furnish documentation that you have a qualified mental illness for which a professional says you've been told to have an ESA

If it makes you feel any better, it'll take much longer than 50 days for the eviction process to go through. So atleast you won't have to sleep in your car!

Im not trying to be pedantic, I've been denied an emotional support animal before so I'm quite positive there is no federal law protecting them in every jurisdiction and I dont want someone to get false info here

Yea the apartment just called saying they need a doctor's note too. So we're making a doctor's appointment now. I believe my girlfriend has depression and something. She was prescribed anti anxiety medication and adderall
