Went from 3.5 a day to 20 a day. That's a bigger rise than after the Paris attacks where everyone put French Flags on their Facebook

Would have been nice to see exactly which offences are being subsumed under the category of "hate crimes". If we're talking 20 incidents of verbal abuse, graffiti and vandalism in a country of 63 million people the day after a terrorist mass murder, I'd call that a remarkably muted response.

Are they counting twitter investigations as hate crimes that police have to deal with?

Good point. But then again, you're asking this of the authorities that can't even figure out the motive during Islamic terror attacks (yet can somehow figure out that something was a hate crime). Might be asking too much of them.

Is that what's happening or have the police really had to step up their hate speech crackdown on twitter lately?

The article doesn't say either way.
Dielman on Rivers: "I've tried to get him to say s--- or f--- and all he'll ever do is say, 'Golly gee, I can't do that."
Let's keep a sense of perspective here. In the 1970s and 80s, if the IRA bombed a pub in the Shankill area of Belfast, the following night at least one innocent Catholic would have been killed by loyalist paramilitaries in a reprisal murder. The response in Britain to terrorist mass murders in the last two weeks has been absolutely nothing comparable to that. I've read nothing in that article which indicates that these "hate crimes" have even involved violence.

Popuation is about 3 million. Went from roughly 1 in a million per day to 1 is 150,000 per day.
the idea that "Islamophobia" creates "more" terrorists is a outright lie.....when their objective was already to kill the "infidels" to complete the global "Hijrah" and establish the global "caliphate" it was already decided long ago how they feel

Point taken, but still a remarkably muted response after 30 murders in two weeks. And for all we can tell from these figures, these fresh incidents might be down to no more than a dozen or so people -- the same dozen or so people, a handful of haters being very busy at their favourite hobby. And again, my point: are these incidents actually something more than insults being shouted in the street or painted on walls?

This is exactly why I'm for the travel ban. More of these peaceful and moderate Muslims need to make their voice heard and tell others that they will not stand for this crap anymore. To be silent condones these actions.

Until then, start banning these countries that harbor ISIS agents.

A lot of Liberals don't want to hear this, but part of the President's job is to ensure the citizens of this country are safe.

How is "stopping Islamic migration" any different than Trump's half measure travel ban?
You think claim that liberals would call a full measure travel ban racist is just "made up"?
They've been b****ing about the travel ban and calling it racist non-stop.

What the f*** have you been drinking?

Because his ban is stupid as it targets countries whose citizens haven't attacked us, and leaves countries whose citizens have actually attacked us

It's not a ban to stop terrorism, it's ban to placate racists

Islamophobia is a garbage word used to silence criticism of Islam, nothing more.

All these terror attacks and the mayor is concerned about the feelings religious people. *Yawn*

There is no easy solution to this, but this will eventually give birth to more radical right wing groups due to the inactivity of the government to confront the problem for fear of being called stupid words like "Islamophobic".
Also, if the community is so weak that their response to hurt feelings and criticism is to become terrorists, that says enough right there.

I specified those for a reason, no matter how much people try to move the goal posts to skin color, again, if even if people were critical over that (which people have been with me in the past) it's never a reason to go out and do nonsense like this and certainly isn't the case with any other community (especially religious).

It does, of course I never said it didn't, which is what you're implying, so I need not state the obvious again.
However Islamophobia is one of the most scandalous words ever created, since it is perfectly fine to be critical of Islam and not be called "phobic" for it, which I've heard the word used to describe just about every former Muslim ever, as the word exists almost entirely to stifle debate.

Well they do win. Because that is what they want. Knowing Trudeau, doing nothing probably would be his solution, but he was right about that. So let's find a way to do something about it without letting them win. The wars don't work. Human rights violations are too high a price. Keep trying.

Sikhs have suffered from Islamophobic attaks from people who are too stupid to know what a Sikh is an just abused the brown guy in a turban.

No, again, the criticism of Islam and its teachings is perfectly valid (and for the most part what radical Muslims protest), no matter how much you try to make it about something else (like skin color, or race, or some other tolerance nonsense, the issue I brought up was critical of Islam).
