got a ps4 only a few months ago. and so far, everytime I have gotten a new game on disc, it takes forever to set up. and it says download, not install, so I think it's pulling files from the PSN. wtf is the point of the disc then?

Lots of games have day 1 patches or patches that come out soon after release to fix nasty bugs.

sigh.......

they used to make sure everything was fixed. but now they use the internet as an excuse to just rush the game out so they can patch it later

Yeah, seems like the discs are useless now. Idk what they're for.

Idk if it's the same on PS4, but if you go offline while installing on X1 it goes a lot faster. If you're online it's installing files from the disc and downloading patches and s*** at the same time which makes it a lot slower. You'll still need to download s*** once the disc installation is done but it's faster than doing it all at once.
