- Any way to stop the Switch from hijacking my monitor?
I've got a dual monitor setup. Often both are outputting my PC, sometimes I've got PC on the mains screen and the Xbox or PS on the second. Whenever the Switch is asleep in the dock, it'll occasionally hijack the second screen, causing both monitors to blink off while the Switch (I assume) tries to input to the second monitor. This then happens immediately again and I return to whatever I was doing. Once this starts happening it will happen every 5/10 minutes or so.
It's not too big a deal, as I can just undock the sleeping Switch and place it on the side, but it's mildly annoying. Any fix or something I can do for this?

Setting, TV setting, "Match power state - off".
Also this seems to be a bigger problem for people with "Smart" TVs.

turn it off. This is correct, but you need to make sure you turn it off while it is on the dock. If you turn it off while not docked then it will turn on when you put it on the dock. Setting match power state to off can also help, as someone else mentioned.. |
