Trickle down only works when the government forces it through heavy taxation of the rich. Like in the 40s-50s when our country was rich because the rich paid like 90% tax rates. Back then we funded the entire interstate system created from scratch. Today we cant even afford the upkeep on it.

The issue is that they let the money bleed out from the country. Not many see that unless you have a closed system to keep the money in, it won't work. Think of the economy like those fountains that circulate the water, now either place a drain in it or put a hole in it, you then realize the water is being pulled out instead of being circulated.

Bush, Is the idea that Reagan implemented where if you give the rich as money as you possibly can, it'll encourage them to spread the wealth by doing stuff with the money. Such as them buying yachts trickles down to yacht makers/employees. It's not true though. The American wealthy elite are known for hoarding what they already have, just giving them even more just means they're going to hoard even more so their net worth goes up. |
