Arizona Diamondbacks
Los Angeles Dodgers

1/5th of the league is blacked out.

I was actually looking forward to getting the premium package, I'm an A's fan and my wifes a Giants fan. This is completely f***ing useless.
Invest in a VPN though. There are a few people with experience doing this

I did VPN with the NFL.com streaming thing and it worked well. I would turn on the VPN, start up the game, then turn the VPN off and the game would keep streaming at high speed with no issues. if I kept hte VPN on, it'd be slow.

At least you're getting a hockey team next season before they have to relocate once the Raiders move in, too.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Which on most nights means 2/5 of the league is blacked out since you can't watch the opponent's stream either. So you're missing out on 40% of games and paying full price, all the while being in the realistic "market" of zero of those teams.

I've noticed a number of people getting MLB.tv and not realizing the blackouts

Cmon man.
I will not change this line until the Philadelphia Eagles win a Super Bowl - Started 8.25.05
NOVA NATION: 2016 National Champions
Im in CT, and I was supposed to have Red Sox, Yankees and Mets all blacked out, but for some reason it's letting me watch Red Sox/Pirates right now. It still would not show met the Mets though. And I'm a lot closer to Boston than NYC. I don't know where MLB thinks I live.

Those mixed network areas are such bulls***.

Does anyone else live in las vegas, does Cox broadcast giants and A's games? @Aegisfang22
No. Only if they play on ESPN/MLB Network etc. Same blackout rules apply with their MLB package.

Then how tf am I supposed to get A's/Giants games?
I only get the Rangers on my local cable but the Astros are blacked out as well which makes no sense to me.

VPN or Reddit

Alright I might just get it....use the student discount somehow, and use a VPN.

Is Reddit consistent with streaming every game? A's are a weak market, can't imagine too many A's games being streamed.

They just repost links to streams that are already out there. Unreliable and terrible quality

Anyone know if the Jays are blacked out in Canada?

We live in a time that is unique -- where streaming is almost as good as OTA, but tv companies have a stranglehold on the rights. In 20 years, not only will the Fox's and TBS's of the world not have exclusive rights, they might not even exist in the form they do today as broadcasters.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Unlocator is another option you might consider. It's not VPN, but rather a DNS spoof service (or something like that), and I can confirm it bypasses MLB.tv's regional lockout.
Vin Scully, Herge, Ray K. Metzker, Abelardo Morell, Vik Muniz, Mori Kaoru, Steve Jobs, Depeche Mode, Tim Duncan, John Stockton. RESPECT.

I'll check that out too, thx.

Right now I'm just searching old reddit threads, people do this all the time. I actually did it myself with NFL gamepass 2 years ago and it worked great, got every game in super HD. I think Ill go ahead and buy it and try it out. $110 is not really much.
