The Disney-inspired PR ruse of child-like "Nintendo Magic" has grown men, who now live with the harsh realities of adulthood, associating the company with the simpler times of their childhood. Thus, when Nintendo is 'attacked' they feel as though you want to destroy not only the innocence of their childhood memories, but the only remaining source that can evoke it. If they lose that feeling, they're dead inside. Someone will make a documentary about this s*** one day. Trust me. |

Like it's so f***ing weird when I say "I kind of wish I could get a new Metroid, F-Zero or Star Fox that is actually decent" and the fanboy response is "f*** those games, they don't sell enough and are dumb niche series" Like...what? Also Nintendo fanboys diehard love of Miyamoto despite all the dumb s*** he's done for the past 15 years or so perplexes me.

worst is relative. most people on this site are absolute losers. most are too stupid to even realize they are even if they were told that. people used to be better. people have always been utter ignorant people in genral on the internet though. Which is unfortunate because it's people talking the loudest who are probably the most utterly clueless. there are good people out there but quite honestly people are becoming more and more assanine whether its poltically correct or not.
the more i read what people think in the media in general its really just pathetic the influence these people have on people.

Those games are extremely niche. Metroid is a bit different though. I think they should make a new one. But a lot of people don't really see the downward trend that the Metroid Prime series had. It's no where near as big as some people like to make it out to be. But Nintendo is the sort of company that makes niche games for the hell of it anyway. Even if all signs point to them bombing. That's one of the things I like about them. No other company would touch a franchise like Star Fox or F-Zero ever again. But there's always that chance with Nintendo. Which is why I think people get so demanding about them bringing back certain franchises.

On gamefaqs, yes they are. It's hilarious seeing some of their damage control, and some users on that board go utterly ballistic if you say anything that isn't purely praise towards Nintendo or one of their games. I saw someone say they had a problem with their Switch, and this user (called NeoMonk) started yelling at the poor guy and was on conspiracy theory levels of bs calling the guy a Nintendo hater.
Something is likely mentally wrong with you if you have to go to that degree to defend something. There's this other user called CloudStrife who fanboys over anything remotely related to Nintendo, and talking bad about them is akin to committing a sin to him. They're just some examples. I love Nintendo, but their fanbase can be absolutely crazy sometimes.

Also just read the comments in a video such as this (it's a non-Nintendo video on a YT channel that primarily covers Nintendo games, and their fanbase went ballistic)
 IE no no no,just no. Now I'm not just gonna sit here and curse you out, or call you guys sellouts or anything but alot of people here (including myself) watch you because you were strictly nintendo based. Not switch whyyyyyyy%uFEFF As if one video amongst dozens of Nintendo related ones is such sacrilege to them. There were even more comments like that that were upvoted a lot earlier too.
