It looks like an overblown expansion to Destiny, and I'm always on board with that.  The whole 'your character will carry over thing' is going to be a s*** show, though. If they keep old classes, everyone will complain it's a retread. If they add new classes, the old classes will either be pointless or the new ones will have to be weaker. They have balance problems enough as is, and I don't see any way to incentivize the new content without making the old content hacky. The worst part is that we all know they are just going to wipe our characters and give us a shiny new shader to show we are 'veterans'. reportquote

Nothing (except your character looks). I don't even think Grimoire scores carry over. They said awhile ago that nothing from Destiny 1 will carry over to Destiny 2.
