and CNN wonders why people call them fake news.

They're so out of touch with reality that it isn't even funny.

But this is utterly ridiculous. Remove your hatred for Trump for a moment and read what that is. It's an article that uses a typo as a platform for an assumption about a so called 'lack of discipline'.

This is grasping at straws.

Surely, there's more important news to cover?

Are you out of your mind, dude? These typos happen all the f***ing time. Back in the day when I used to chat with my buddies on AIM, sometimes I placed my fingers on the wrong keys and started typing. Guess what happened? Words like 'covfefe' came out, and we all had a good laugh and moved on.

Do you remember when Fox News reported on Obama wearing a mustard colored suit and that was somehow offensive for some reason? :v Were you complaining about that?

The news reports on sensational stuff all the time. Of course they're going to make a big deal out of the highest office in the land making a ridiculous typo.

I absolutely would have if I had seen that coverage. That's ridiculous. I mean, if it's beyond 3 sentences of talking, then it's nothing more than nit-picking nonsense.

There's literally an entire article that was made from this typo - used as a platform for some ridiculous rant.

I think even Middle School teachers should never accept CNN.com as a viable source anymore. It's WORSE than those gossipy celebrity magazines at the check-out line at a grocery store.

In fact, I think a higher grade should be rewarded if kids used one of those magazines as a source. It's probably more legitimate.

the article is absolutely correct

it's far more worthwhile to take a big step back and look at the situation that leads to the President of the United States tweeting, poorly, at 12:06 a.m. about the bad press he gets.
What we have today -- and, really, what we have had since the day Trump came into the White House -- is a deeply isolated President who spends lots of time, particularly at night and in the early morning, watching TV and tweeting.
That lack of discipline reveals that there is simply no one who can tell Trump "no." Or at least no one whom he will listen to.

The simple fact is that no staffer exists on the planet who can tell Trump something he doesn't want to hear and have him take it to heart.

Trump's ongoing Twitter presence is a perfect example of all of this.
Time and time again, Republican elected officials have politely suggested that Trump use Twitter less and differently. Use it to rally his massive online support base behind policy initiatives rather than as a tool to exact revenge on people Trump thinks have wronged him. White House staffers have done the same, occasionally floating the idea that, at one point or another, Trump finally "got it" and was going to tweet differently from there on out.

Makes the most sense to me. excluding the "A" all the letters for both words are close to each other on the keyboard and the word fits.

Trump ran with the joke when he saw everyone tweeting about it though so I guess we can't really know without him correcting himself.

How? CNN is the WORST source for news I've ever seen. Even Colbert can teach his audience something about the judicial process once in a while.

CNN edits video footage to fit the narrative they want to run at any given time. I'm no fan of Fox News - yeah, they're biased, sure. Cater to the right? Absolutely. But I trust them more than CNN.
