Either that or she doesn't consider you important enough to respond to timely.
The worst is when they claim to be busy, but in that span of time they posted several times on their social media account doing nothing in particular. |

sometimes people will text me and i wont respond for hours because i am busy at work, i got sidetracked with something else, i'm watching a movie or playing a game where i dont want to be distracted, got frustrated with the stupid touchscreen keyboard and put the phone down and then forgot about it, etc

Sometimes I'll look at a text and think of a response but I'm busy that I forget to send it and then it takes a day or two to realize that I didn't send anything. |

Get a text at work or when I'm busy in general and think, "Oh, I'll get back to them in a few minutes when I have a chance..." and... totally forget.

I'd say 9/10 times, yeah, she's not that into you. Girls will always make time for someone they're interested in, no matter what other s*** they've got going on in their lives.
I'd let it slide a couple times, but if it's a regular thing (her not texting back or flaking when you're supposed to be hanging out) it's not really worth pursuing. I'd just stop trying altogether. They sometimes even "come around" once you stop responding to them.

The problem with these kind of women is that once s*** hits the fan they always try to blame it on the guy. Why not just tell him I'm sorry you're not my type instead of misleading someone then do s*** like this. Lol.

If you just said something like "hi, what's up?" or just sent her a funny photo and trying to illicit a response then it's perfectly plausible she's been literally busy

While it's true that sometimes people just forget, if this is someone that you hope to one day be more than friends with it's not the best sign right now because if she felt the same way...she would have remembered. I don't say this to discourage you....I say it to mean...keep trying to win her over. Don't be pushy or needy and don't let this instance put you off. Keep trying to grow the friendship until she gets the point where she won't "forget" about you. The fact that she responded at all shows she doesn't hate you or isn't against being friends with you. Let that be the starting point.

I was in a situation like this where I wouldn't get responses for a few days and get this, and it still kinda worked out ok. We ended up seeing each other a bit on and off for a while, and was fun. But in terms of it being a lasting relationship probs no gonna happen TC.
In short, in my experience it's not total doom, but it's also not gonna work out in the end either. |

The remedy for getting bummed about this kind of stuff is always to keep other girls in the pipeline until you're ready to get serious with someone. I remember really liking a girl once and getting this same kind of blow off treatment. I was mildly annoyed, because I thought she was really hot, but I just ignored her and went after other girls I was meeting on the apps. She quickly left my thoughts. Three months later, with no contact from me, she actually reached back out to me on her own and we went out.
